Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring that Stopped Working on 2013 Ford Escape, Fuse is Good
Question:
Hi I purchased a wire harness for my 2013 Ford escape. It worked for a while and now is not working. I have checked the fuse and the powerline but I'm just not getting any lights at all I've tried two different boats so I know it's my harness itself. Can you please advise?

It is possible that you shorted out the converter box of the trailer wiring on your 2013 Ford Escape. You will need to test the wires going into the box and then see if there is the correct output on the output wires of the box. If there isn't voltage going into the box then the connections are at fault.
If there isn't voltage coming out of the box then either the fuse is blown or the box is shorted. Check out the video I attached to see more info on testing the box.
For a replacement harness you would want part # C56335.
Before you replace it you will want to inspect the wiring of your trailer to see if you can find anything that would cause the box to short out like corrosion or cut/exposed wiring. These boxes don't usually go out unless there is a short on the trailer that takes it out.
