You may be able to carry the Victory Mobility Scooter on a trailer hitch mount cargo carrier on your 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe. The trailer hitch with the highest capacity for your Santa Fe is Curt hitch # C13505. It has a tongue weight capacity of 400 pounds. But you will need to consult the vehicle owners manual for its tongue weight capacity. Which ever is lower, the hitch or the vehicle, is the capacity you will need to go by.
I looked up the specs on the scooter and it appears to weigh a little over 130 pounds, if I was looking at the right model. The combined weight of the carrier and the scooter cannot exceed the tongue weight capacity of the hitch or vehicle, whichever is lower.
You will want a carrier with a ramp to make loading and unloading the scooter easier. Pro Series has a nice option, # PS10401-10402, that is 32x48 inches with 48 inch long ramp. This carrier weighs 105 pounds so the total weight with a 130 pound scooter on it would be 235 pounds. I have included a link to a video review of this carrier for you.
For an aluminum option we have # FHG69ZR which is a 29x49 inch with 60 inch long ramp. This carrier is lighter at about 77 pounds so the total weight would be around 207 pounds. I have linked a video review of this carrier as well.
To reduce the stress on the hitch and vehicle and to be in compliance with the Curt trailer hitch warranty requirements you will also want to use stabilization strap # 18050.
