The best transmission cooler will be the largest cooler you can fit in front of your radiator. Transmission coolers work best when mounted at the very front of compartment, (in front of the radiator)BEHIND THE GRILLE. You will want to measure this space to know how much room to have to install a cooler.
The Derale 19-Row Stacked Plate Transmission Cooler Kit # D13403 you referenced measures 13 inches wide x 7-5/16 inches tall x 2 inches deep. As long as this cooler fits behind the grille in front of the radiator, it will work well for you. It is rated a Class V to work with heavy-duty towing vehicles. Transmission coolers are always okay to be larger than necessary for your towing vehicle. You cannot cool your transmission fluid too much.
This comes with hardware to mount the cooler, hosing to connect to the factory line running back into the transmission, hose clamps, and insta-dept adapters to attach to your new transmission cooler. You will also want adapter fittings for your factory transmission line. If you have a V6 engine, you want part # D13025. If you have a V8 engine, you will want part # D13024.These fittings allow you to easily install the hose to the factory transmission line and to the transmission.
