Correct Specs for Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control
Question:
For the C17500 “Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System the Maximum rise and Maximum cannot be correct if the picture is correct. There are only 6 holes, each 1.25 inches apart and the ball mounts on the top of a bracket that spans four holes. The rise therefore must be greater than the . However, the can’t be 5.5 inches either, so the values are not just swapped. I’m guessing there is really only about a 1 inch if any. I think I need about a 7.5 inch but I don’t believe your Specs.

The measurements on the spec sheet show the maximum rise from the top of the shank to the highest bolt hole in the rise position is 5-1/2 inches.
The maximum drop top of the shank to the lowest bolt hole in the drop position is 7-1/2 inches.
To get a 7-1/2 inch drop you will want a shank like # C17124. I went out to the warehouse and pulled these two parts and measured this shank on the Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution System # C17500 and from the top of the shank to the top of the head (in the lowest bolt hole) the measurement is 9 inches.
