Now if your trailer does not have brakes all you would need is the part # 37185 as an adapter to convert the 4-way to a 7-way. You would need to run a length of 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 to the vehicle battery through a circuit breaker like part # 9510.

If you do have trailer brakes you would need the # ETBC7 instead of the # 37185 and a brake controller. This kit comes with everything needed to wire up the 7-way and install a brake controller.

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.

To prevent the vehicle battery from draining when the vehicle is off you will need to install a # PK5231201 on the 12 volt power circuit of the 7-way. This will shut off the circuit when the vehicle is turned off.

The 12 volt power circuit of the trailer's 7-way would need to get run to the trailer battery positive terminal.

For a power inverter that you could wire to your trailer battery and allow shore power to be used you would want the part # WC3720.

For a charger that would work great to charge your trailer battery when you have access to shore power you would want the part # CTEK56353.
