Availability of Weight Distribution System With Chain Hangers That Clamp to Trailer Frame
Question:
I have used a Reese straight line hitch on a couple of TTs, I purchased heavier trunion bars and HD snap up brackets from you guys but have had one of the snap up brackets fail one of my regular ones failed earlier. My current trailer has a tubular, rather then C-Channel frame and its has indentions from the failed snap up brackets. Im looking for a different hitch that will wrap around the TT frame like the equalizer does rather than clip over the top like the straight line. Any advice? Thanks very much

If you can confirm that your fully loaded and ready to tow trailer tongue weight is below 1000 lbs, Curt offers their TruTrack Weight Distribution system, part # C17500.
This being said, I have a solution that would allow you to continue using your Strait-Line Weight Distribution System. You can simply replace the chain hangers for part # RP58306 which is a clamp-on hanger. When using the clamp on hanger, you'll need to use the trailer jack to put slack into the system for installing and removing the spring bars by jacking up both the trailer and the rear of the vehicle.
I'll link you to a product demonstration video featuring the TruTrack, as well as to some FAQ articles that I hope you'll find helpful.
