Trailer Hitch for a 2015 Mazda 3 Hatchback to Carry 2 Bikes
Question:
Hi, I have a 2015 Mazda 3 hatchback. I want to add a hitch for my bike rack. My bike rack holds 2 bikes and uses a 2inch receiver, so I will need an adaptor. I do not want to use stabilizer straps. Do you have a hitch that will do what I want? Any suggestions? Thanks!

For your 2015 Mazda 3 hatchback I recommend Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24914. It does not require a stabilization strap when using a bike rack. Like you said you would need an adapter, # HTAD. However, the use of an adapter reduces the tongue weight capacity of the trailer hitch by 50 percent.
For Draw-Tite hitch # 24914 the use of the adapter takes the tongue weight capacity from 200 to 100 pounds. the combined weight of the bike rack and bikes cannot exceed 100 pounds.
If the bikes and carrier are too heavy for the reduced tongue weight I recommend a bike carrier that is rated for a Class I hitch such as # S63360. I have linked video reviews of the adapter and the bike carrier for you.
