Brake Controller and Install Harness Recommendation for a 2011 Toyota Tundra
Question:
Getting ready to go on a family vacation and will be pulling a 2foot two axle travel trailer 6,700 pounds dry weight. I have a 2011 Toyota Tundra with the 5.7 liter engine with the factory towing package. I know where the wiring harness is and the installation is relatively simple but my question is inch What controllers are compatible with my truck and which would you recommend

Expert Reply:
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes.
To install this controller all you would need is the install harness part # 3040-P.
I attached an install video for you to check out as well.
