Hopkins 7-Way Trailer Connector to Older Featherlite Wiring Recommendation
Question:
Hello All, Looking to hook the Hopkins 7-way trailer connector to my older Featherlite. Trying to map the colors but the descriptions used by Featherlite are somewhat different than those used by Hopkins The featherlite wiring diagram is attached. Hopefully you can make sense of the mapping. Thanks,

The diagram you attached shows a 7-way wired up in what is considered the "traditional way." If you check out the chart I attached you will see the three ways (really only 2), that a 7-way can be wired. The Featherlite is wired up like the diagram on the left.
Now to wire up the # H20046 all you would need to do is wire up the connector by FUNCTION and not color.
If your trailer has the same wire colors as the diagram you attached the blue wires would match up, the brown of the trailer would go to green of connector, yellow wire of the trailer would go to red of connector, white would match up, red of trailer would go to blue of connector, green of trailer would go to brown of connector, and blacks would match up.
