Trailer Connector for 1992 Ford Explorer With Tow Package

Question:

I have a 92 explorer with the tow package. Part 118241 looks like the same connector that I have, but will it fit/work on a 92. When I ed a 92 explorer, this part doesnt come up as an available option.

You're correct, the connector you found under the truck sure looks like it would fit, but I can't confirm the fit of the # 118241.

I spoke with my contact in the Tech Services department at Tow Ready, he believes that before 1995, that connector you found was pinned out differently. If that's the case, the # 118241 won't work for your vehicle.

I'd recommend you use the # C59236, which is a confirmed fit.
