Can Roadmaster High-Low Hitch Adapter # RM-048-6 Be Used on Lifted Truck to Tow a Camper

Question:

I currently tow my camper with my Avalanche and use a weight distribution \sway control. I am considering a suspension lift for my truck. Could I use a style receiver with this setup? Thanks

The Roadmaster High-Low Hitch Adapter, # RM-048-6, is to be used with tow bars only. This adapter should not be used with any type of trailer so this would not work for your set-up but I do have a solution, a weight distribution shank.

Once your truck has been lifted you will want to determine the appropriate drop needed for your trailer. I have included an article that can assist with this. I have included a link to our weight distribution shanks. Just use the filters to find the right shank for you.

For example, the Reese Weight Dist Shank, # RP3344, a 8-5/8 inch drop when used with round-bar weight distribution systems and a 7-5/8 inch drop when used with trunnion-bar systems.
