Wiring Brake Controller On 2011 Monaco Knight Motorhome With Air Brakes
Question:
Trying to install P2 controller on my 2011 Monaco Knight. Problem is I cant find the wire from the brake peddle. All there is are some air tubes, no wires. So, I was thinking I could make this allot easier by running a sensor wire from the center brake light in the rear of the RV. This light only comes on when the brakes are applied.

Since you have checked it out and are unable to find a wire at the top of your brake pedal, you will need to find a dedicated circuit as you described.
If your third brake light only works when the brakes are applied you can use that wire for your Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, part # 90885.
If you are able to find a dedicated fuse in your fuse box, it may be easier to use a fuse tap like part # F2526 and tap into the fuse box for your brake circuit. It would certainly be easier to wire if you did not have to run a wire all the way back to the third brake light as you mentioned.
