Replacement 7-Way Recommendation for a 1999 Dodge Ram
Question:
Plug got broken off .just left with 10 colored wires. Commando setup. Need to replace socket. I have 1999 dodge ram 1500

Since all you have is the wiring from your old 7-way you are going to want a 7-way with a wiring harness like part # HM47210. You will need to wire it by function to your vehicle's wiring.
I don't know the color codes for your trailer connector so you will need to use a circuit test like part # PTW2993 to determine the function of each wire, label them, and then wire to the # HM47210 by function.
The colors of the # HM47210 are:
White is ground
Blue is brake output
Green is right stop/turn
Yellow is left stop/turn
Purple is reverse light circuit
Brown is running lights
Red 12 volt accessory
