I will be happy to help you select a 5th wheel sliding hitch for your 2013 Chevy Silverado 2500 short bed. First you will need an installation kit. I recommend a custom installation kit because you will not have to drill into the truck frame for installation so it does not take as long to install and installation will be easier overall.
The most popular custom install kit is # RP50066-58. I have included links to the instructions and a video showing installation for you.
For your 10,300 pound trailer I recommend going with a 16K hitch. The Curt A16, # C16521, is a great option. The slider has 12 inches of travel and the head is a 360 degree full floating and cushioned head for ease of hook up and improved ride quality. I have included a link to a video review of this hitch for you.
