Recommended Bike Carrier for the Back of a 2009 Coleman Highlander Tent Trailer
Question:
I have a 2009 Coleman Highlander series tent trailer. Looking for a carrier that will go on the back of the trailer, either attached to bumper and/or frame or spare tire. Ive noticed that spare tire bike carriers are not designed or recommended for trailers. Can you recommend a solution? I need something to carry 2 bikes. Cheers!

RV bumper bike rack # S80605 would be a great choice for your tent trailer, because it offers an easy install and will accept many different styles of bikes.
This bike rack is made for continuous welded steel square bumpers at least 4 inches and no more than 4-1/2 inches wide.
The only thing you should note is that the 2 bikes would both need to be similar lengths, as the wheel loops on the bike rack are connected to each other.
If you need room for your spare tire, you could also use RV bumper rack # S80501, which would allow you to access the spare tire by simply removing 2 pins.
If you wanted to install a hitch for use with a hitch mounted bike rack, I have included links to all the RV hitches we offer, as well as a link which gives you some hitch mounted bike racks that would be compatible.
