Some models of the 2013 Chevrolet Equinox cannot be flat towed, especially those with the continuously variable transmission (CVT). These models must be towed using a tow dolly like # RM-2050-1. This tow dolly comes with electric brakes, safety cables, adjustable axle and ramps, and adjustable wheel nets. I have included a link to the installation details.

Before you attempt to flat tow your Equinox AWD, I recommend checking your owners manual for any flat towing restrictions or procedures. If you determine that your Equinox can be flat towed, you will need 5 components to compete your flat towing setup - base plates, tow bar, safety cables, tow bar wiring and a supplemental braking system.

For base plates, you can use the Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plate Kit, # RM-523160-4, that you referenced. These base plates are compatible with the Falcon All Terrain tow bar, # RM-522, and it has removable arms to conceal the appearance of the base plates when you are not towing.

For safety cables, I recommend the Roadmaster 6,000 lb Safety Cables, # RM-643, along with the wiring harness, # RM-154.

Finally, most states require the use of a braking system when flat towing. The system that I prefer is the Roadmaster InvisiBrake Braking System, # RM-8700. This system will only need to be installed once and it has a low profile so it can be permanently mounted under a seat or in the rear cargo area out of the way. This unit never has to be adjusted or set making your Equinox always ready to tow.

A few additional parts that you will want are the Stop Light Switch Kit, # RM-751439 , to activate the brake-monitoring system in the motor home and the FuseMaster Fuse Bypass, # RM76511 . Fuses must be pulled on your Equinox each time you flat tow and the fuse bypass will take the hassle out of having to remove the fuses each time. The fuses that must be removed will be identified in your owners manual.

I have attached a few FAQ articles on flat towing for you to check out. If you are new to flat towing, these articles will provide plenty of helpful information for you.
