Video Transcript for Review of LubriMatic Grease and Lubricants - White Lithium Grease - L11354

Hey, everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the LubriMatic white lithium grease. This is going to be a 14 ounce tube that will work for your grease guns that have that 14 ounce capacity, which is typically going to be your full size grease guns. Now white lithium grease is going to be great for a lot of different applications. Typically, the most common application for these is going to be on a fifth wheel trailer or a fifth wheel hitch. Since it's going to have that nice white color with zinc additive, it makes it easy to spot and make sure that everything is greased up and lubricated properly.Since it doesn't have any silicone in it, it can be used on plastic components without them being damaged, so you don't have to worry about any damage there.Pop off the cap. You can see inside we'll have that white lithium grease.

It's about the consistency of peanut butter. That's what that NLGI, or National Lubricating Grease Institute number two means. That two designation just means that it's a higher viscosity. Basically means it's just a thicker liquid. Number two is a pretty normal consistency for grease, so that's considered normal. The drop point for this is 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Again, does work with your grease gun, so whenever you put this in place, you'll want to remove the cap, pull the top off and put that in place. Probably want to put the pull that top off after you actually have it into your grease gun. Thread that in place and then you're good to go.If you need to pick up a grease gun, we have a lot of different options available here at etrailer.com. We also have this white lithium grease available in a 16 ounce tub, in a smaller three ounce TUBE for your mini grease guns, as well as in a spray form. So a couple of different options there for your application. That's going to do it for our look at the LubriMatic white lithium grease, 14 ounce cartridge..

Have used my mini grease gun for years but have had hard time finding the cartridges with white lithium grease (for steering system and MaxProp on our sailboat. Consequently had to refill empty cartridge from a pot of whit lithium... what a mess. Finally found at etrailer. They shipped the next day and arrived quickly. Appreciate good service and will definitely won't miss the mess of refilling cartridges this summer.

by:

This was one of the only places I could find white lithium grease in these small 3 ounce tubes for use in a mini grease gun. They work great and I will buy more when the need arises.

by:

Excellent product I only wish they had free shipping and handling but for chemicals that's pretty much the norm anyways used it on my garage screw for my Genie garage door opener works perfectly thank you

by:

Well I presume the actual product is good but it looks like it came from a storage room that hadn’t been touched in years. At least wipe it off before sending it to customers. It just looks bad.

  • Correct Setup For TrailAir RotoFlex Hitching to Demco Hijacker Fifth Wheel
Yes, you have ordered the correct and required Demco # DM6171 capture plates that match up from your Hijacker # DM8550034 to your RotaFlex. You will not need a lube plate. The only time that you will have any friction is hitching and unhitching, and that will be minimal. However, each 5000 miles or every couple months, Demco recommends lubricating moving parts and the gears with lithium grease like Lubrimatic # L11354 grease. While you are doing that, it would not hurt to put a little...

  • Grease Recommendation for Venture Landing Gear Leg with Zerk Fitting
We have spoke with our contacts at Lippert/Venture about greasing their landing gear legs that have zerk fittings and they recommended a white lithium grease like # L11354 for the zerk fitting for the gears and a silicone based lubricant on the exterior of the legs. There isn't a set schedule for how often to grease the legs. It's basically an as-needed basis.

  • Can Sidewinder Turret be Removed and Greased
Yes, you can remove the turret of a Sidewinder like the # RP61412 and apply white lithium grease to it like the part # L11354 and then reinstall it. This is a recommended maintenance method for the Sidewinder. I attached a picture I took from the Sidewinder install instructions that shows where to apply the grease.

  • Why Does the Lube Plate Fall Off My Trailer
The Buyers Products Fifth Wheel Lube Disk Steel Retention Clip part # 337FWRC is designed specifically for Buyers Products Fifth Wheel Lube Disks like part # 337FWD24 which have a circular indentation where the kingpin goes which holds the retention clip in place. I have attached a photo of this for you as well. These lube plates are also designed for much larger commercial trailers and would not work well on a recreational 5th wheel. If the lube plate you have now will not hold around...

  • Troubleshooting Reese Sidewinder Pin Box that is Difficult to Move Arm
It probably wouldn't be a terrible idea to install the Sidewinder Repair Kit part # RP94316 on your Sidewinder as it sounds like it's seen better days and hasn't been maintained. Reese recommends that to maintain easy hookup you frequently lubricate the wedge surfaces, back side of the king pin, and the skid plate surface. The bearing surfaces of the Sidewinder arm can also be lubricated if stiff, using white lithium grease. At least once per season it's recommended you disassemble the...

  • Can Reese Sidewinder Pivoting Pin Box Be Serviced by One Person
Installing or servicing a Sidewinder pivoting 5th wheel pin box like the 16K-rated # RP34FR is definitely a 2-person job. The entire pin box weighs about 135-lbs, including the turret. The turret alone can weigh from about 40-lbs to 50-lbs so you definitely need extra hands for the removal/partial disassembly required for the periodic lubrication and maintenance. It is often easiest to place a sturdy table or work bench under the pin box to hold it after removal. You can use grease like...

The Remov-A-Ball gooseneck trailer hitches such as # 6300-4440 use a lever is a Z-shaped track to lock/unlock the ball. If the mechanism is binding up and not allowing the lever to move it could need to be lubricated. You would need to go under the truck to see the bottom of the mechanism to determine if it can be lubricated or if something is interfering with the operation of the lever. You should also be able to see if anything is corroded or broken and causing the problem. To release...

  • Sidewinder Pin Box on 5th Wheel Trailer is Noisy when Turning
It sounds like your Sidewinder pin box might be in need of a little lubrication. With a Sidewinder the trailer pivots at the turret instead of at the hitch. The fit between the arm and the turret is very tight to the point where you can't move it by hand. All that friction can create noise. Lubrication will help. To lubricate the Sidewinder it is best to disassemble it to access the areas within the Sidewinder that make contact with each other. It is recommended to take it apart at least...

  • Recommendation of Replacement Landing Gear or Motor on 2006 Keystone Raptor
My recommendation would be to disconnect the motor and gearbox, as well as the strut that connects the two drives. Try to manually actuate each jack to see if they'll operate manually. • Are the Self-Adjusting Parts of the Nev-R Adjust Trailer Brake Assemblies Adequately Lubricated
On the self adjusting brake assemblies, like # AKEBRK-35L-SA, that I have seen, they have always been adequately lubricated. In the event that you would like to use a different grease, I recommend first cleaning off all of the existing grease as some greases are not compatible. It will not take but a small portion to lubricate the small self-adjusting component. You could use all purpose white lithium grease like # L11354 for this purpose. The process you described to remove the head from your B&W Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter part # BWRVK3500 is correct. The reason you are have having trouble is because of the bushings on the pivot arms. They need to be properly greased each time you remove the head. This will help the fifth wheel head work properly.
