Either the XC, part # S64650 or the XTC-2, part # S64670 would work just fine on your Beetle. If I personally had to choose between the two, I would choose the XTC-2, because of its more robust wheel hoops. There is one trailer hitch that will fit your 2013 Volkswagen Beetle convertible and it is Curt hitch # C11354. I an not sure what 10 inch extension tube you would need. The receiver is not recessed 10 inches under the car, it is pretty much right at the back.
