How To Help Maneuver Trailer in Tight Spaces
Question:
Could this be used to help with parking my 98 Nash 19B Trailer 3700 lbs dry weight? I have limited space to maneuver in with my F-150 SuperCrew, so thought this would work with my 2012 Beetle with its shorter wheel base to help with moving the Nash in the limited space I have available. I would not be using it on the road just for parking the trailer. I am concerned that this could be too much of a load for the Beetle/Hitch using it this way.

The best option we offer for maneuvering a trailer in tight spaces is with the Trailer Valet 5X Swivel Jack and Trailer Mover part # STC-V211. This jack dolly combo has a chain drive system which reduces the strain on physically pulling the trailer. It has a handle for steering and automatic brakes for safety. The other option would be to install a front mount trailer hitch on the tow vehicle. If you can provide the full year, make, and model of said vehicle I would be glad to provide an option if applicable.
Unfortunately, I can't recommend using a vehicle underrated for the trailer even if it's just to move it a short distance.
