  • Bed Extender Recommendation for a 2009 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Adrenalin
  • I reccomend the Curt # C57WR Universal Truck Bed Exender which will fit nearly all full size pickup trucks including Chevrolet, GMC, Ford, Dodge, Ram, and Nissan, with standard 60" wide tail gates. (6.5 foot and longer beds) and provide 26-1/2 inches of additional bed length for storage and hauling. May not work with flare-style tailgates. Compatible with most tonneau covers. I would check that measurement before ordering.

  • Sway Control Recommendation for Sportsmen 14RB Travel Trailer
  • You can do two things to help reduce travel trailer sway. First, you can try loading your gear in the camper further forward. This will increase tongue weight and reduce the tendency for the camper's rear end to sway. The more of the trailer's weight that is forward of the axle the less likely it is that the rear end will start its own travel plans! Another step you can take is to install a friction sway control unit like the ProSeries # 83660. This unit can mount on either side of your...

  • Towing Mirror Recommendation for a 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
  • In order to add towing mirrors to a 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, you will need to use a universal fit option because there are no custom fit mirrors available. The most popular universal towing mirrors is the CIPA Clip-on mirror, # 7070. I have included a link to a video that covers these mirrors and a link to all of the universal towing mirror options for you.

  • Availability of a 7-Way Round Pin to 5-Way Flat Trailer Connector Adapter
  • It sounds like your Trailblazer had a 7-Way round pin connector and your Explorer Sport Trac has a 7-Way blade style connector. The configurations are different between the 2 different connectors. For an adapter, using the 7 Pole to 5 Pole flat, # A75TB, that you have referenced would work for you if the Ford has the blade style connector. I have included a picture that shows the differences between a 7-Way round pin and 7-Way blade style connector, vehicle side. If the vehicles both...

  • Adding a Brake Controller And 7-Way Trailer Connector To 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac With 4-Way
  • I have linked a video below to an installation that we did on a 2004 Ford Explorer. This should help you to be able to install the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR and Plug-and-Play Wiring Harness # RED87FR on your 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. To complete the installation you will need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 for the correct wiring and connectors. This will allow you to convert the 4-way flat on your Explorer to the 7-blade...

  • 5-Way Adapter Recommendation for a 2008 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
  • Your 2008 Ford Explorer Sport Trac should come with a 4-way already installed. All you would need to convert it to a 5-way would be a # 20036. Next you will need to do is figure out where to run the fifth (blue) wire of the # 20036. Most likely this wire is used for a reverse lockout for surge brakes, or reverse lights. If this is the case you will need to tap into the reverse light circuit of your vehicle using the included quick-splice. I attached an installation video for the # 20036...

  • Can a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac be Flat Towed Behind a Motorhome Using Factory D-Rings
  • We have some D-rings mounted on shanks but none that will fit a 1-1/2 inch opening. I wish I had better news for you. But actually those D-rings would not be for towing your 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac. They are for vehicle recovery (like if you went off-roading and got stuck). If you wanted to tow the vehicle behind a motorhome or another vehicle you will need to install base plates such as # 474-1 and use a compatible tow bar such as the Falcon All-Terrain # RM-522 with safety cables...

  • Is etrailer Motorcycle Carrier Compatible with 2.5 inch Hitch Adapter
  • The etrailer Motorcycle Carrier # K2TMC201 that you referenced is compatible with a 2-1/2 inch hitch that has a 2 inch hitch sleeve installed. This could cause some additional movement that would depend on the clearance between the adapter and the hitch. For ratchet straps then the part # E01418 would be a great option.

  • Brake Controller and Install Wiring Recommendation for 2008 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
  • Test the pins of the connector you found with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993. If you find that one of the pins has voltage when the brakes are applied and the other is hot all the time the # 3035-P will fit and work well. The blue wire would need to be ran back to the blue wire of the adapter part # 37185 to complete the circuit there though. If there isn't voltage there then you would need to instead use the part # ETBC7 which converts the 4-way to a 7-way and comes with all of...

  • Recommended Bike Carrier To Use Between RV And Towed Vehicle
  • In order to be able to carry bikes between your towed vehicle and the RV you will first need a dual receiver for your trailer hitch. I recommend the Curt Dual 2 inch Receiver Tube Adapter, part # D-192. the bottom receiver is used for the tow bar and the upper receiver has a 2 inch receiver for the bike carrier. Bike carriers need to be RV rated because they are built to take on the added stress at the rear of the RV or motorhome. The carrier I recommend is the Swagman Original, part...

  • Hitch Recommendation for my 2002 Ford Explorer Sport
  • For your 2002 Ford Explorer Sport you will use the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13540. This was custom designed for use with the Explorer Sport or two door model. The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75112 was designed for use with the Ford Explorer Sport Trac which was a slightly different model and will not fit your Ford Explorer Sport two door. If you'll be hauling a trailer use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part...

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation for 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
  • For your 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac the trailer hitch I recommend is the Curt # 13407. The reason I recommend this over the similar Draw Tite that fits your vehicle is we just have better overall experiences with the Curt hitches in terms of quality. They are also made in the USA. Then for trailer wiring the Tekonsha part # 118344 is the best option that installs the easiest.

  • Which Tailgate Pad Bike Rack Fits a 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
  • The Softride Tailgate Pad, # SR26461, for mid size trucks is probably going to be the best option. It measures 54 inches long so compare that to the tailgate on your 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac to determine fit. The model for a full size truck, # SR26457, is 61 inches long. Thule also has a similar product, # TH823PRO for a 54 inch or # TH824PRO for a 62 inch. All of these items work in basically the same way. They fit over the tailgate, have a flap for the tailgate handle. They strap...

  • Extended Towing Mirrors for 2007 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
  • We don't offer a custom slip-on mirror option for your vehicle, but we do have a good universal fit option that would work very well for you. Take a look at the K-Source # KS3990 clip on towing mirror. These mirrors offer a dual lens that provides a wider field of vision than a single pane mirror. The mirrors feature a unique ratcheting type strap that gives a snug and secure fit for minimal vibration. You can see a product demonstration video by using the provided link.

  • Towing Mirror Recommendation for 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac
  • The towing mirror I would recommend is the K-Source part # KS3891. This universal mirror is our best selling mirror because of how stabile it is and how universal it is. It would be a great option. I attached a review video that shows the mirrors installed on a similar Explorer as yours as well.

  • Crossbar options and Neutral Tow Connector
  • The crossbar does not come with the Roadmaster # 474-1 Base Plate Kit. A tow bar that connects with the 474-1 base plates is the Roadmaster # RM-520 "Falcon-2" tow bar which has a cross bar built in. We do not carry the Ford Neutral Towing Kit and do not believe it is made anymore. I would find a solution for that before other flat tow purchases.
