You can do two things to help reduce travel trailer sway.
First, you can try loading your gear in the camper further forward. This will increase tongue weight and reduce the tendency for the camper's rear end to sway. The more of the trailer's weight that is forward of the axle the less likely it is that the rear end will start its own travel plans!

It sounds like your Trailblazer had a 7-Way round pin connector and your Explorer Sport Trac has a 7-Way blade style connector. The configurations are different between the 2 different connectors. For an adapter, using the 7 Pole to 5 Pole flat, # A75TB, that you have referenced would work for you if the Ford has the blade style connector.

Your 2008 Ford Explorer Sport Trac should come with a 4-way already installed. All you would need to convert it to a 5-way would be a # 20036.
Next you will need to do is figure out where to run the fifth (blue) wire of the # 20036. Most likely this wire is used for a reverse lockout for surge brakes, or reverse lights. Test the pins of the connector you found with a circuit tester like part # PTW2993. If you find that one of the pins has voltage when the brakes are applied and the other is hot all the time the # 3035-P will fit and work well. In order to be able to carry bikes between your towed vehicle and the RV you will first need a dual receiver for your trailer hitch.

The crossbar does not come with the Roadmaster # 474-1 Base Plate Kit. A tow bar that connects with the 474-1 base plates is the Roadmaster # RM-520 "Falcon-2" tow bar which has a cross bar built in.
