I checked with Surco and they list Safari Rack # SPS5084-1101 as the proper fit for your 2007 Chevy Suburban. This version comes with adapters to attach the basket to the factory side rails on your Suburban. Side rails run front to back. The basket does not attach to crossbars that run side to side.

Transmission cooler is definitely more important than an engine oil cooler. Most modern vehicles have cooling systems that are very efficient and an engine oil cooler is not needed at all. In some cases they actually will slightly lower oil pressure so they really aren't recommended. Transmission coolers do help a ton to preserve the life of a transmission so we recommend them highly. The Andersen weight distribution system isn't as effective as other systems. The reason you are still experiencing sag with a weight distribution system is solely because of how ineffective that system is. The chains they use instead of spring bars just doesn't work as well.

I spoke with my contact at Derale and he said that your 2012 model Chevy Suburban 1500 uses 1/2 inch transmission lines so the Derale Hyper-Cool Transmission Cooler # D13960 won't be the best option.

We do have extensions that can provide 2 feet of extension that have enough capacity for 500 lbs of tongue weight. For that we have the # C45048 which can be used in a 24 or 34 inch overall length extension.
