From the moment you press the brake pedal the time needed for the pump in the EOH actuator to build hydraulic pressure and push that through your brake lines, through the T fittings, and to your disc brakes can easily be as much as 2 seconds. The factory puck system is not a standard feature that is included on trucks, and would be an option that is added on to certain trucks.
