This makes it so that the hanger can be reinstalled after the hitch is in place. There is no drilling required in the actual frame of the vehicle.

If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch.
