If you are trying to install lights like # STL8RB to your 2006 Ford Mustang the problem could be that the car has separate turn signal and brake lights while trailer lights have a combined turn signal and brake light circuit.
On light # STL8RB, the white wire is ground, the green wire is stop and turn lights, and the brown wire is running lights.
If you need to add trailer wiring to the car so that it can tow a trailer, you will need to use # 18252. I have included a link to the instructions and a link to a video showing installation for you.
