To install the CURT Trailer Hitch, # C15445, on a 2011 Ford F-350 Cab and Chassis only model, you will need to drill two holes in the frame using a 9/16 inch drill bit. The easiest way to install your Draw-Tite 1-4 Brake Electronic Brake Controller # 5504 in your 2003 Ford F-350 would be to use a Tekonsha Wire Replacement # 3035-P. This product will plug into the back of your # 5504 and then plug directly into the plug underneath the dash of your vehicle.
I attached installation instructions and an installation video for you to check out.
Your other choice is to hard-wire it in by first cutting the plug under your dash off and then wire it by function... view full answer...
Yes, the # 3065-P connector will plug into the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Proportional Brake Controller # 90885. It will just plug into the back of the brake controller and the gray plug that you found and supply power to activate the trailer brakes, once the brake controller is properly mounted and setup.
Since your 2007 F-550 is pre-wired with a 7-Way trailer connector from the factory no additional wiring will be needed. I have provided a link to instructions for you to review. view full answer...
Good question, and a trailer does need to be connected in order for the LEDs to be on when using the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR.
If a trailer is not connected and you press the manual override of the Liberty # RED24FR, the LED will just flash blue, but go out again, which means the controller does have power. view full answer...
For the 1999-2011 F-53 chassis motorhomes there is a brake controller installation port behind the instrument cluster. We have heard it is fairly difficult to locate, but if you keep digging you should find a grey connector that would work.
The correct harness needed to install the P3 brake controller # 90195 would be the part # 3035-P.

I was able to locate the owners manual for the Jensen VR209TP. According to the manual "Before you listen to Sirius Radio, you must subscribe to the service using your radio's identification number. To display the Radio ID, touch the TUNE + or TUNE - button to access channel “000”. The screen displays "Radio ID" followed by a 12 figure ID number."
One other thing to keep in mind is that even though your Jensen radio is compatible for SiriusXM radio you may not have the appropriate tuner... view full answer...

The vehicle is unlikely to have the connector behind the dash unless it has the factory equipped 7-way on the rear bumper. If it does, the connector that the controller would plug into is clipped to the rear of the small cubbyhole or coin tray in the dash. You'll access the connector by removing the coin tray.
If the van doesn't have the factory 7-way, you'll need to hardwire the brake controller using our Install Kit, part # ETBC7. If your vehicle is a motorhome on a van cutaway chassis,... view full answer...
You can use your WFCO converter with the Progressive Dynamics Pure Sine Wave Inverter w/ Transfer Switch - Remote - 2,000 Watts - 12V # PD64FR.
It is meant to be hardwired yes, as you can see on page 6 of the linked installation instructions. You'll use #2 AWG wire for the DC wiring and #12 AWG wire for the AC wiring. There isn't a combo converter/inverter replacement for your WFCO, and while we do not have mobile techs this is not a bad install. I recommend checking out the linked installation... view full answer...
As long as you are getting power on the pin in the 5 o'clock position when using the manual override button on your Draw-Tite Activator # 5504 you are good to go.
The 12V power pin, in the 1 o'clock position, is for accessories and isn't connected to the braking circuit at all. view full answer...
Usually air bags are used to help level out a load or offer extra support to the OEM suspension system, but it isn't unheard of to use them for smoothing out the ride from the OEM suspension while it's unloaded. I reached out to my contact at Firestone (as I recommend going with their Ride-Tire air bags) and he said that they recently had someone come in and commented how the air bags help his truck ride a bit more smooth on the road without a load so it sounds like it's a very viable solution.

Correct, the bulb inside the Optronics Backup Light part # BU45CB is not replaceable because this is a submersible light therefore sealed. I would not really call this bad engineering as it was designed this way for a reason. If you were to replace the bulb you would have to break the seal and then the light would no longer be submersible. view full answer...
Airlift recommends using a keyed circuit that's only active when the ignition is turned on, as the system can activate if the vehicle moves (a strong wind could possibly do it) and possibly drain the battery.
