The hitches that are built to fit a 2005 Scion xB will not fit a 2008 Scion xB. The 2007 xB brought a new body that included some frame changes which is why the hitches for the 2004-2006 models will not fit the newer models.

I can't be completely sure but the hitch in the video review of the Curt Cargo Carrier # C18145, that I've attached, looks be the Curt Class II Receiver Hitch # C12490. There are only two hitch receivers available for your 2010 Scion xB, and the other, the Draw-Tite Class I # 24815 does not have a collar at the opening of the receiver tube like the one used in the video.

The Release series center exhaust is on the 2010 model but we still don't list this as a confirmed fit because of the body kit on the 2011 Release. I checked the online version of the manual as well and it definitely does state that the vehicle is not rated for towing a trailer or cargo mounted hitch accessories so all of the people doing this are essentially taking on any liability in the event that the hitch failed or damaged the vehicle. When you go to 9/16” studs, the 7k axle kit # K2HR79DS comes with an 8K hub that takes that only takes the # 02475 bearing. Because you cannot fit 9/16” or 5/8” studs in a 7K hub Kodiak switches it to a 8 K hub. As for cutting down longer Rhino Rack square bars, which I don't recommend, you would need a miter saw with a metal cutting blade and could cut the bars to your specific needs.
