Axles rated for 6,000 to 7,200 pounds usually will have 3 inch diameters. But it is possible for 5,200 pound axles or even 3,500 pound axles to have a 3 inch diameter axle. You could err on the side of caution and say each axle is rated for 3.5K for a total of 7K for the 2 axles combined.

I checked the online edition of the owner's manual for the 2018 Cadillac XTS and it does indeed state the maximum trailer weight is 1000-lbs, just as you mentioned, but is also notes that the tongue weight of the connected trailer should not exceed 10% of that maximum, which would then be 100-lbs. I sure the wiring harness is there and I get your frustration because even our installers have mentioned how difficult it is to find it. I went out to our warehouse to take a couple measurements on the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75528 that you referenced.

Congrats on the new vehicle! The best hitch for a 2024 Buick Enclave is the Curt item # CU29FR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Enclave with included hardware. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 5,000 lbs towing capacity and a 750 lbs maximum tongue weight.
