I'm not sure why they include that replacement latch but that is not required for any of the aftermarket hitches or wiring. It is probably something related to the installation of the OEM hitch. The etrailer # e45ZR you referenced is what I would recommend. This hitch has a bolt-on installation and a concealed cross tube for a nice clean look. You will want to see if your mirror sticks outside of the enclosure when the back up feature is activated and your mirror is pointed down. We do have a cable that will allow you to plug the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR into the port under your dash. What you need is the Tekonsha # TK78VR along with the Redarc Tow-Pro Wiring Adapter for Tekonsha Brake Controller Harness # 331-TPH-017. We have only had the one instance where someone felt the need to completely remove it, but they reinstalled it after. Complete removal is not necessary. According to the manufacturer the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C36ZV would be a confirmed fit for all models of the Kia Niro from 2023 to 2024 so this should be a fit.
