I understand your concern. Fortunately, we have not heard about any damage to vehicles' trunks when using the Malone Runway Trunk Bike Rack for 3 Bikes # MPG2142. From the weight distribution of the rack, most of the force is actually allayed to the bottom bar that rests above your bumper and the hooks that attach into the front of the trunk. The angle in your photograph looks normal. I went ahead and attached a picture of our expert installation to give you a comparison. view full answer...

From your information it seems like you may have a 1-1/4" shank on an accessory you would like to use, and you probably like the EcoHitch for it's mostly hidden design. We do not have any brand hitch that is equally hidden and in the 1-1/4" receiver size, however I have a solution for you.
You can install the 2" EcoHitch # 306-X7271 to gain the hidden attribute you like and then install the all-steel Brofy BROPHY # HT02 hitch adapter. I have included a link to the HT02 product page and... view full answer...
The Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver item # 391SUOB20 you selected will not fit your 2020 Subaru Legacy. The closest equivalent hitch receiver that is compatible with your 2020 Legacy is the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver item # EH36RR. This is a custom fit hitch with a concealed cross tube that has a 300 lbs max tongue weight and a 3500 lbs towing capacity. view full answer...
Since there were no changes to the Subaru Legacy in 2022 the etrailer hitch part # e25TR is a confirmed fit for it. Then for trailer wiring we have the Curt # C79CR which would work great as well. view full answer...
The Draw-Tite Hitch # 75560 you were looking at is a confirmed fit for your 2008 Subaru Legacy. To tow a wave runner you will need a ball mount, ball, and wiring. The wiring for your Subaru is # C59496.
To determine which ball mount and ball you will need will be dependent on your waverunner's trailer. I have linked a Help Article on how to determine which ball mount you will need for your setup. The ball you will need will likely be a 1-7/8 inch like # 19260 or a 2 inch diameter like... view full answer...
If you will be taking your kayak to and from the beach, the Yakima JayLow # Y04073 is definitely a good option. This will fit just about anything, folds flat when not in use, and can carry up to two kayaks, with the addition of a set of Bow/Stern Tie-Down Ropes # Y04031, if ever needed. Now to get this attached to your 2022 Subaru Legacy, let's check out the roof rack.
For this, I recommend the Yakima JetStream Crossbars # Y00425, SkyLine Towers # Y53TR, and Landing Pad 22 # Y00248. Going... view full answer...
The weight capacity of the Yakima 42" Tracks for Roof Racks # Y01126 will be the capacity of the bars used in them which will be 165 lbs most of the time. Now the roof capacity is also a figure you need to stay under as well. They don't have a specific capacity for a sheet metal roof install so you'd have to stay under the capacity of the vehicle roof as stated in the owners manual. When installed properly though you would not have to worry about the tracks popping out.
We sell these tracks... view full answer...
The difference is what vehicles each of those hitches will fit. Trailer hitch # C13206 fits 2014 to 2016 Subaru Outbacks. And # 13390 fits the 2015 to 2016 Legacy and 2010 to 2013 Outback.
So if you have a 2016 Legacy use # 13390. But if you choose this hitch then Curt says that you have to use stabilization strap # 18050 when using the hitch with a bike rack to comply with their warranty.
What I recommend is the Draw-Tite hitch # 75673. It does not require that strap and it costs ever... view full answer...
We generally always recommend the higher-capacity hitch option when the option does exist, as it does for your 2005 Subaru Legacy which can be fitted with either a 1-1/4-inch Class II or a 2-inch Class III hitch. There will be very slightly more ground-to-hitch space with the smaller hitch tube but this will be only one of many factors that affect your actual ground clearance. Passengers, cargo, tire tread depth and inflation pressure also can affect your actual clearance as much as your... view full answer...

We have a great solution for carrying two kayaks with a Rhino Rack roof rack installed on your 2016 Subaru Legacy like the part numbers # RRVA118B-2, # RRRLKVA and # DK416. For that we have the Yakima # Y04073 which would fit and work well.
It would get a little sketchy trying to fit two kayaks on the roof of your vehicle with foam block roof rack carriers. view full answer...
I have another solution for you but the Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier # TH911XT will not fit your 2021 Subaru Legacy.
As an alternative you can use the Yakima HangOut 3 Bike Rack # Y02638 which is essentially the Yakima version of the Passage. This fits your Legacy and is compatible with a child's bike if you use an adapter bar like part # Y02531 which is the case for any hanging-style rack and a child's bike.
If you wanted something a little nicer you can jump up to the Yakima FullBack... view full answer...

We do have several roof rack fits for your 2018 Subaru Legacy, but the crossbar you mentioned is a fit for a 2016 Chevy Spark.
For your Legacy, the most economical option we offer would be square crossbar rack from Inno, which would consist of the following parts:
Square profile 54 inch long crossbars, part # INB137
Roof Rack Feet, part # INSUT
Vehicle Specific Fit Kit, part # INK439
The downside to square bar roof racks is that they're not very aerodynamic, so they can be pretty noisy.... view full answer...

I have a great hitch receiver that I highly recommend.. It is the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 306-X7384. EcoHitch has the best hitch receivers for concealability and ground clearance. The Ecohitch has a 300 lbs tongue weight capacity which will be more than enough to carry your two 70 lbs e-bikes and you won't have to worry about them being to low to the ground. This hitch receiver is compatible with Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes item # TH903202 and... view full answer...
To add a hitch to your 2024 Subaru Legacy, I recommend the etrailer item # e25TR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Subaru with included hardware. This is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It has a 3,500 lbs towing capacity and a 350 lbs maximum tongue weight.
I really like the etrailer hitch item # e25TR because the crosstube mounts behind your rear bumper leaving only the 2" receiver exposed. This not only looks better but helps with ground clearance.
