I went out to the warehouse and measured a Replacement U-Bolt, # TH02943. The center to center distance between each end of the u-bolt is 4 inches. It is 2 inches deep in the center. The cross bars on your Volvo XC90 would have to be smaller than those dimensions in order for these u-bolts to fit.

Take a look of the picture I have included showing Curt trailer hitch # C13233 installed on a 2016 Volvo XC90. If you measure from the bottom of the piece pointed out in the picture down about 4-1/2 inches that is approximately where the bottom of the hitch will be after it is installed. To install the Draw-Tite item # 76194 hitch on a 2024 Volvo XC60 you'll need to cut out a 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" rectangular section off your Volvo's fascia that faces the ground. It's just a thin piece of plastic that extends past your bumper underneath the SUV. Trimming this piece allows the 2" receiver and the safety chain loops to extend below the vehicle and bumper. Unfortunately, while Thule could not verify the channel slide piece of the Replacement Load Stop for Thule Ladder Racks # 8537165, my contact at Thule confirmed that the load stop will not be able to fit into the channels of WingBar Evo crossbars on your 2006 Volvo XC70.

The receiver included with the Stealth # SH87FR hitch for the 2019 Volvo XC60 isn't meant for towing, it's meant for hitch mounted accessories like bike racks or cargo carriers. In order to tow, you'll need the # SH87FRT hitch kit which includes the ball mount that's meant for towing which provides a 2 inch rise which will place the top of the trailer ball around 18 inches which wouldn't be sufficient to tow your trailer so it's level. Unfortunately, you need to go by the lowest rated component which in most cases, including yours, is the vehicle. Hitch manufacturers often make their hitches rated higher than the vehicles they're designed to fit. Just like with the Draw-Tite # 75916 that fits yours 2015 Volvo XC70.
