I did a little research and found that the correct AirFlow roof rack for your 2016 Volkswagen Golf SportWagen with the factory side rails is # MPG215. There isn't a 211 that will fit your Golf but there is # MPG201. The difference between it and the 215 is that the 201 has rectangular bars and 215 has aero bars which are quieter and have less drag. The problem is that you are adding something to the bottom of a vehicle that is low to the ground to begin with. The 2015 Golf is going to be as low if not lower than the Jetta so the potential for the hitch to make contact with the ground on steep grades is still there.
