  • Difference Between Curt and etrailer Hitch for 2022 Toyota RAV4 Limited Hybrid
  • The etrailer # e23ZR and the Curt # C13416 have the exact same design and installation process. The only difference between the two is the powder coat finish. The Curt uses a glossy finish and the etrailer hitch has a matte black powder coat finish. I personally prefer the matte black which gives it more of an OEM appearance. It also does a better job hiding inevitable dirt and dings.

  • Clearances for Curt and Draw-Tite 2 Hitch Receivers on a 2019 Toyota RAV4
  • When we installed the Curt Trailer Hitch # C13416 on a 2019 Toyota RAV4 we found that it measured 5" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the rear edge of the bumper, and then from the ground to the top inside of the receiver measured 12". When we installed the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # DT82QR on a '19 RAV4 we found that these dimensions were the same so the clearances will be the same either way. Out of both options I recommend the Curt trailer hitch over the Draw-Tite simply because...

  • Comparing The Thule Camber And The Swagman Trailhead
  • The Thule Camber 2 Bike Rack - 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Tilting # TH9058 is a great option. It has the anti-sway cradles that have the deeper grooves to allow for the cables on many bikes to not get pinched or damaged. It has spring loaded features to help with the tilting and pivoting so it is an easier to use system. I do recommend getting the hitch lock # THSTL2 with this rack as well as a cable lock like # TH538XT. If you have alternative style frames or step through frames, I recommend...

  • Choosing Between Coil Sumo Springs and Firestone Coil-Rite Helper Springs on 2012 Toyota RAV4
  • A suspension enhancement product like the SumoSprings # CSS-1125R or Firestone Coil-Rite # F4174 are primarily designed to suspend the weight of cargo carried in the vehicle itself. It's not always the best choice for counteracting the vehicle squat caused by the tongue weight of a trailer being applied to the vehicle. The SumoSpring or Coil-Rite can in some circumstances act like a fulcrum, causing the load on the front axle to lighten, which can lead to decreased braking performance and...

  • Recommended hitch bike rack for 4 bikes that locks
  • I recommend the Thule Hitching Post Pro - Folding Tilting 4 Bike Rack w Anti-Sway # TH934XTR which has a capacity of 35lbs per bike. This can be used with 1-1/4" and 2" receivers which is very convenient if you have more than one vehicle. For added security, you can add Thule Braided Steel Cable Lock # TH538XT, Thule Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device # THSTL2, and Thule One Key System Lock Cores with Keys - 2 Pack # TH450200 to key them alike.

  • Differences Between the Draw-Tite and Curt Trailer Hitches for a 2020 Toyota RAV4
  • There is a slight bow to the Draw-Tite # DT82QR cross tube where the Curt # C13416 has a straight cross tube. Draw-Tite also has slightly higher weight ratings but since the weight ratings of your 2020 Toyota RAV4 are under both of the trailer hitch ratings that really isn't a factor at all. I recommend going with the Curt because they tend to have better welding and a thicker powder coat which promotes a longer life for the trailer hitch. Attached is an installation video and some pictures...

  • Comparing etrailer Trailer Hitch e23ZR and Curt C13416 For 2019 Toyota RAV4
  • The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e23ZR and Curt # C13416 you were looking at for your 2019 Toyota RAV4 are very similar in the fact that they both have the same ground clearance of roughly 10", and the same capacities at 600lbs tongue weight and 4000lbs trailer weight. The main difference between these two hitches is the powder coat finish. The # e23ZR has a matte black finish to better blend in to the black trim on your vehicle, where the # C13416 has a gloss black finish. Due to...

  • Class III Trailer Hitch vs. Class II Trailer Hitch for 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid
  • You did a great job with your first choice for a trailer hitch on your 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, because etrailer makes the highest-quality trailer hitches so it is the brand I would go with as well over any other. In regards to the Class II Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch -1-1/4" Receiver # 36675 vs. the Class III etrailer Hitch Receiver - 2" # e23ZR, you definitely want to go with the hitch that has a 2" receiver. The reason is that no matter if you are using the hitch for accessories or towing,...

  • Comparing Spoke and Mod Trailer Wheels
  • Mod wheels such as the one in tire and wheel combo # LHACK121 have the distinctive round holes. A "regular" trailer wheel on the other hand has more triangle shaped holes and is referred to as a "spoke" wheel. Take a look at # LHAW124 as an example. So basically you are looking at an appearance difference. I have included links to video reviews of both for you.

  • Comparing 2018 Toyota RAV4 Towing Capacities to Trailer Hitch Capacities
  • The towing capacities of your 2018 Toyota RAV4 may have the same capacities of the trailer hitches that fit it. For example, the Curt # C13406 is a Class III hitch with a 350 lb tongue weight capacity and 3,500 lb towing capacity. According to the owner's manual your '18 RAV4 has a towing capacity of 1,500 lbs if you do not have the Towing Package. If you do have the Towing Package the capacity is 2,900 lbs for 2WD models and 3,500 lbs for AWD models. I highly recommend the Curt #...

  • Comparing the Weight of the Swagman Chinook Bike Rack and the Swagman XTC2
  • These are two good choices! The Swagman XTC 2 # S64670 weighs in at roughly 32-lbs and the Chinook # S64683 weighs about 47-lbs, so if you're looking for the lightest weight rack it's definitely going to be the XTC 2. However, if you're not concerned with the weight difference, the Chinook would be my recommendation since it tilts away from the vehicle to allow you access to the rear cargo area with the bikes still loaded on the rack. I'll also mention that both of these bike racks will...

  • Trailer Hitch Clearance for 2018 Toyota RAV4
  • The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C12108 has a hitch pin hole to outer bumper clearance of 3-1/4 inches so it will be great for bike racks and has a ground clearance of 11-1/2 inches. This hitch also requires the use of a stabilization strap # 18050 for extra stability and safety.

  • Draw-Tite vs Curt hitch for Bike Racks on 2019 Toyota Rav4
  • Great question! First off, your Toyota Rav4 can handle 1 1/4" Class II or 2" Class III hitches. In the Class II category, both hitches are very similar in specs and capacity. The Curt Class II Hitch # C66KR is slightly easier to install than the Draw-Tite Class II # 36675. For your Class III hitches, you have the Draw-Tite # DT82QR and the Curt # C13416 hitches. The main difference is that the Draw-Tite # DT82QR has a HIGHER weight capacity of 675 lbs tongue weight and 4,500 lbs towing...

  • What are the Differences Among the Class II Hitches Available for a 2009 Toyota RAV 4
  • None of the Class II hitches for your 2009 RAV 4 are superior to another, but there are some differences between them they may help you make your decision. Draw-Tite and Hidden Hitch are sister companies and the Draw-Tite, part # 36588, and Hidden Hitch, part # 90207 (no longer available), are the same design. The difference between these two hitches is that the Hidden Hitch includes some extra accessories. The Hidden Hitch model includes a draw bar and pin and clip that you would need...

  • What Is The Difference Between The Square And Round Tube Curt Hitches For A 2016 Toyota RAV4
  • There are a couple key differences between the round tube Curt # C13149 and the square tube Curt # C13406, but from what I could find out, the maximum towing capacity of a 2016 RAV4 is 1,500 pounds, which will make the tongue weight capacity 150 pounds (this can be lower as well so you will need to check your owner's manual to verify), so it does even the weight rating playing field between the two hitches. Both of these will require trimming to get installed, but more so with the # C13406....

  • Which Hitch is Less Visible for a 2016 Toyota RAV4 Curt Or Draw Tite
  • Both the Curt # C13149 and the Draw Tite hitch part # 75235 are going to be somewhat visible on your 2016 Toyota Rav4. The safety chain loops of the Draw Tite are a bit more concealed though so I would say it would be the least visible of the two. I attached a picture that shows the two from the same angle for you to see what I mean.

  • Difference Between Installation Difficulty of Curt and Draw-Tite Class II Hitch for 2021 Toyota RAV4
  • After looking through the installation instruction for the Curt # C66KR and Draw-Tite # 36675 Class II hitches for the 2021 RAV4, there really is no discernable difference in the installation procedure that would justify the difference in install difficulty rating. In my opinion, neither would be any more difficult to install than the other. Since both hitches install in the same manner and have the same capacity, you could choose the least expensive option, and not feel like you've sacrificed...

  • Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch vs. Curt Trailer Hitch for 2019 Toyota RAV4
  • You are actually right on the money, because there is very little separating theetrailer Hitch # e23ZRand Curt Trailer Hitch # C13416 that fit your 2019 Toyota RAV4. Other than the price, there are two other differences between the two hitches. The etrailer has a 4,500 lb towing capacity and 675 lb tongue weight capacity while the Curt has a 4,000 lb towing capacity and 600 lb tongue weight capacity. I should note that both capacites exceed the towing limit of your vehicle, which according...

  • Comparison of Hitch Ground Clearance for 2021 Toyota Rav4
  • We haven't had the opportunity to install the # EH97FR EcoHitch as of yet, but hen we installed the Curt # C13416 on a 2021 RAV4, we found that the inside top edge of the receiver tube sat about 12 inches above the ground, which would place the underside of the receiver tube at about 9-1/2 inches. If you look at the provided install photos, you can definitely see that the EcoHitch sits about 1-1/2 to 2 inches higher, right at the underside of the vertical potion of the fascia rather than...
