The Rhino-Rack Backbone Mounting System # RRRFRB1 is designed specifically for a Ford Ranger. The best system for your 2021 Subaru Outback Wagon is the Pioneer Platform Rack # RR77AB which comes with legs that will fit directly to the OEM rails on your vehicle.
The Backbone system would require the removal of the factory raised rails on your Outback Wagon. Rhino-Rack tries to avoid making modifications that big for their installations which is why they don't have a Backbone system that... view full answer...
Hey Sherom, so Rhino Rack actually makes a version of their 60 by 49 inch Pioneer Platform that was designed to fit the raised rails of your 2023 Subaru Crosstrek with the part # RR77AB. This comes with everything you'd need to install it as well. view full answer...
Thanks for the picture! I recommend the Yakima Crossbar Pads for Aero Crossbars item # Y07413. These come in a pair and measure 30" long x 3" wide x 3" tall. These pads have four Velcro strips that run the entire 30" length. They will ensure the pads stay snug on your factory crossbars.
I have linked a review video below so you can see them demonstrated on a Crosstrek we had in the shop awhile back. view full answer...
Saris does not confirm the Bones 2 bike track as a fit for your vehicle. The best rack I can confirm as a fit is the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top 2 bike # HRF2 or 3 bike # HRF2-3. Hollywood Racks does confirm this fit and this rack is designed to give you the best trunk mounted bike rack for a spoiler like on your 2019 Subaru Forester Sport. This rack is adjustable to fit your vehicle perfectly.
If you have step-thru frames, I recommend using a bike adapter bar like # 64005 to give... view full answer...
Hey Parrish,
There was a design change in the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76227 so it unfortunately only comes with one hitch pin hole now and there unfortunately are no other compatible hitches available with a second hole for a J-pin for your 2017 Subaru Outback. view full answer...
Hello Robert. The reason our site is showing only the “without factory Tow Package” options is because this is all that is available currently. There was a plug-and-play brake controller adapter from Tekonsha, part 306200, that is compatible with the factory tow package on your Ascent, but it is no longer available.
You can definitely still put a brake controller on your vehicle with the tow package. It will just require removing the OEM brake control plug and hardwiring the controller.... view full answer...
Hey Paul,
There unfortunately isn't a bike rack that's going to meet all of your needs/wants at this weight capacity but I have a couple of options depending on a few factors:
Option 1: Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Bike Rack # HLY84FR. This rack has an 80lb per bike capacity, locking ratcheting hooks to secure the bikes by the frame, wheel hoops capable of handling tires up to 5" wide, 60" maximum wheel base, tilt-away function, and comes with a locking anti-rattle hitch pin. It does... view full answer...
Hey Jeffrey, thanks for reaching out!
The EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver # EH65SR is the only option from EcoHitch for your 2023 Subaru WRX. This differs from the EcoHitch Invisi Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7257 you were looking at in that the Stealth has a removable receiver that sits below the bumper. When securing the Stealth receiver to your WRX there is actually a bolt you'll need to tighten down and you'll use that hole in your bumper you referenced to accomplish this.

The EcoHitch Invisi Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7381 for your 2021 Subaru Ascent only has the mounting bracket for a 7-way connector. No wiring for the trailer connector is included with the receiver.
The Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7-Way Trailer Connector # 118290 is the wiring kit that you will need to install a 7-way connector on your receiver. The wiring plugs into the factory connector inside the back of your Ascent.
If you have a larger trailer that... view full answer...
Hey Bryan, the Malone Channel Loader Kayak Load Assist # MAL48FR has a 75 lb weight capacity and I did my best to look up the weight of your Oldtown PDL 106 and found it looks to weigh right around that but maybe a little less/more. But either way it's not going to fully support the weight of the kayak at any point so it will work just fine. view full answer...
Hey Tonya, so we have still the Yakima Hullraiser aero conversion kit part # Y8860031 but we don't have the Hullraiser carrier still.
If you wanted a J-style kayak carrier that fits aero style crossbars we have the etrailer part # e98878 that would work great. view full answer...
First you will be able keep the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76253 on your 2020 Subaru Ascent. It is rated for up to 750lbs of tongue weight and a trailer weight up to 5,000lbs. Be sure to verify your maximum capacities with your Subaru dealer and do not exceed the lower of the sets of numbers.
You will be able to upgrade your trailer wiring from the 4-Way Tekonsha # 118790 to the 7-Way Tekonsha # 118290. You will need to remove the 4-Way Mounting Bracket # 18144 and replace... view full answer...
Rich, the 12V wire is not going to charge your lithium battery well. Typically when you start your vehicle and your alternator is charging the starting battery, you will get some charging to your lithium battery while the alternator is outputting at bulk or absorption voltage, but once the starting battery reaches the float stage you will get a very minimal amount of charging to your battery.
So, you're going to need to run the power from the start battery instead of the 12v pin on the 7-way. view full answer...
Curtis, it does look like the only hitches offered for a 2024 Subaru Outback Wagon like # DT73RR are going to be class III hitches which are going to have 2" receivers.
If it's an accessory you're trying to use that only works with a 1 1/4" hitch then you could just use the Trailer Hitch Reducer # e63YR and you'd be all set. view full answer...
Hello William, the Yates Flat Bow Stop # YRJONBLOCK will be ok to use on an inflatable boat with a flat bow. They are designed for jon boat hulls but you can adjust the angle to accommodate many other hull shapes. For A flat bow it will work nicely. view full answer...
Both the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7391 and Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13409 are going to be compatible with the Thule Apex XT Bike Rack # TH9024XT on your 2019 Subaru Forester.
When we installed these receivers on a Forester in our shop we found the Curt # C13409 had 4" from the hitch pin center hole to edge of the bumper. And the EcoHitch # 306-X7391 had 3" from the hitch pin center to the edge of the bumper. Personally I feel the EcoHitch looks much better as... view full answer...
I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 for your 2021 Subaru Ascent. This brake controller is customizable and proportional. This means that it uses its internal inertia sensor to help adjust your braking for light or severe braking conditions.
You will need a Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 to install the brake controller and 7-way on your Ascent.
The Tuson Sway Electronic Sway Control System # 335TSC-1000 will attach to the travel trailer and control... view full answer...
Hey Betty, it looks like the closest screen door slide we have to what you are looking for is the Lippert Screen Door Slider Panel with Push-Down Knob Opener # LC239061 which measures 9 3/4" tall x 12" wide.
Apart from this one, you're right all of our other ones are going to be in that 12" range. view full answer...
Hey Michele, since you have replaced the Autowbrake part # 3430001 already the issue has to be the wiring of the controller. I would recommend going over all of the connections that the brake controller has made to your trailer. Since it's not working with the brake pedal I would start there. Make sure your stoplights on your trailer are activating properly. view full answer...
