The Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector part # AT36681 will be an excellent replacement for the ProTECHtor LP Gas Detector. The Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector has a seven year life span which is pretty standard. The ProTECHtor LP Gas Detector has a two wire hookup (power/ground) and the Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector has a three wire hookup (power 1/power 2/ground). The reason for the three wire hookup is that the power 2 wire will... view full answer...
The RV Propane Gas Detector part # RS64FR for white or part # RS44FR for black is what I recommend using to replace the the Atwood RV Propane Gas Detector part 31013 (Discontinued). The mounting plate for this new detector will cover up any holes you had for the previous so it will be a super clean install when finished. You'd just need to use some butt connector like part # DW05744-5 to attach the wires and you're good. view full answer...

The 2-Wire RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector # RS34FR doesn't have an internal battery and actually runs off of the RV battery. So if you are getting a battery related error code that would indicate that it's the RV battery that needs to be charged/checked. view full answer...
The Atwood AT36681 is no longer available from the manufacturer. However, we do have the 2-Wire RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector, # RS54FR in black and # RS34FR for white. These detectors can replace almost any RV detector thanks to the included universal mounting brackets and exceed UL 2034/1484 and CSA requirements view full answer...
The best replacement option we offer for a ProTECHtor LP Gas Detector is the Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector part # AT36681 which installs into a 3-9/16" long x 3-7/16" wide x 1" deep cutout. This has a seven year life span which is pretty standard. The ProTECHtor has a two wire hookup (power/ground) and the Atwood has a three wire hookup (power 1/power 2/ground). The reason for the three wire hookup is that the power 2 wire will act as a fail safe if there was an issues... view full answer...
We've seen this issue before on your Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector # AT36681 and the beeping every 40 seconds indicates "a fault has been detected that compromises some detector function."
What you need to do is use push the Alarm Reset button to attempt to clear the fault. If this does not work, the owner's manual states that "the detector is not functioning properly and must be replaced." view full answer...
We don't carry that exact propane detector but we do have the part # RS64FR which is an all white propane detector that would work great on your 2016 Outdoors RV Blackstone Amavi. view full answer...
While we do have some carbon monoxide and propane alarms, we do not specifically carry the Safe-T-Alert 70-742. This is because we do not carry Safe-T-Alert products.
With that being said, we do have the RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector - 12 Volt - 2 Wire # RS54FR (black) and the # RS34FR (white). These detectors come with a compact, slim design and quickly and efficiently alert you for hazardous levels of propane and carbon monoxide inside your RV or camper.

Our propane detectors like the Dometic part # AT32703 that you referenced is designed to detect levels as low as 30 ppm which means that even if your detector is super close to the appliances the sensor is sensitive enough that it will still do it's job well. view full answer...
I recommend the RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector, # RS54FR that has 2 universal mounting brackets included. The alarm dimensions are 4-1/4" long x 2-5/8" wide x 1/2" thick.
There are two included mounting brackets to choose from, dimensions are 7-1/4" long x 3-3/8" wide or for the smaller bracket, 5-3/4" long x 4-1/4" wide. Select the option that best fits your need for location of installation. view full answer...
Let's get you a new detector so you are safe, see the linked items below:
**RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector - 12 Volt - 2 Wire - White # RS34FR.
The part you are referencing is no longer available.
The alarm itself is 4-1/4" long x 2-5/8" wide x 1/2" thick and can replace 90% of all detectors on the market. It comes with universal mounting brackets to make sure you get the best fit possible. See linked photo for more specs. view full answer...
The part number you referenced is older but it was a propane and carbon monoxide detector like what the part # AT36681 is as well so this would be a suitable replacement. view full answer...
Yes, it does indeed sound like the carbon monoxide detector has gone bad which is usually the case when you get a bunch of false alerts. The average lifespan is around 5-7 years so it's time to replace this one for which I recommend using the RVSafe RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector part # RS34FR. view full answer...
In order to be sure you're receiving accurate readings you will want to replace the unit after the life span printed on the label from the manufacturer has elapsed regardless of condition. The RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector part # RS34FR is an easy to install two wire replacement for this and what I recommend using. view full answer...
See the linked item below for my recommendation:
**2-Wire RV Propane Gas and Carbon Monoxide Detector - 12 Volt - White # RS34FR.
The three wires are two red and one black. Black is ground and the red are for power. Only one red is needed however as one red is only used for a backup power source.
Make sure the detector is mounted no more that 18 inches from the ground or floor so it can accurately detect and warn you. view full answer...
The two red wires of the Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector # AT36681 are designed for powering the unit. The reason there are two wires is so that in the event one battery fails there's a backup in place so that it'll still function. If you ran both to the same battery the unit would function but it would not have that fail-safe mechanism in place. view full answer...
