From the point where the strap connects to the ratchet to the end of the strap is about 21-1/2 inches and from that same location to the end of the hook is about 24 inches. view full answer...

I pulled from our warehouse a sample of the Erickson E-Track Strap with Ratchet # EM59140 so that I could determine how far the strap tail will extend from the wall or other attachment point when this part of the assembly is installed in an E-Track.
When the strap is extended so that it is taut, the steel E-Track fitting and the nearest edge of the ratcheting mechanism's handle (when in the down position, nearest to the fitting) will be 4-3/4-inches apart. When the handle is up there... view full answer...
I pulled one of the Erickson Ratchet Strap # 58510 from our warehouse, and the inside diameter of the hook is 1 inch, therefore the radius of the hook is 1/2 inch, and the length of the ratcheting handle is 8-3/4 inches. Additionally the thickness of the hook is 7/8 of an inch.
I have included a photo showing these dimensions for your reference.
This ratchet strap is rated as a heavy duty strap and has a maximum capacity up to 10,000 pounds, and a safe working load limit of 3,300 pounds.... view full answer...
You can connect the hook from the ratchet side of the Erickson Ratchet Tie-Down Strap # EM78627-MS to the hook of the strap side if you wanted and you will be able to basically tighten the strap around something as needed. It's hard to give a clear capacity for this as the strap would basically just be tightening to itself. It would still break at the same amount of stretch in the strap at 10,000 lbs but that doesn't translate perfectly to this application. view full answer...
I took a sample of the Erickson Bolt-On Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps # EM34417 from our warehouse so that I could take the measurements you asked about. I prepared a photo for you to illustrate the measurements of the main ratchet housing and the bottom mounting surface.
The overall ratchet housing measures 5-1/2-inches from end to end and 2-1/4-inches wide at its widest part. The base portion that bolts down to your preferred mounting surface measures 4-inches long x 1-3/4-inches wide.

I spoke with Bulldog and the length of the non-adjustable strap piece on the # BDW20230 is going to be 12" long; the minimum strap length when the straps are fully ratcheted is going to be around 24" from the end of one hook to the end of the ratchet strap connected hook. I've attached a picture to show what I'm referencing. If you were looking for a different measurement, please let me know and I can work to find it out for you. view full answer...
The CargoBuckle Mini G3 Retractable Ratchet Straps # IMF103745 only use one bolt each to mount to a surface so there isn't a template or bolt hole pattern. The bolt holes are in the centers. One allows you to leave the bolt in place and loosen it to remove the ratchet strap or tighten it to lock it into place. The other hole is a regular round hole for permanent mounting (meaning you would have to completely remove the bolt to take the ratchet strap off). view full answer...
The Erickson Re-Tractable Ratchet Straps w/ Push Button Releases - 2" x 6' - 1,333 lbs - Qty 2 # 34414 has a measurement of 19-3/4 inches from inside the hook to inside the opposite hook when fully retracted. The measurement from outside to outside is 20-1/4 inches. view full answer...
I pulled one of these from our warehouse and measured the length when the straps are fully retracted. They measure 12-3/4 inches from the end of one s-hook to the end of the other s-hook. If space is a concern the strap can be folded, putting the s-hooks under the ratchet. The measurement with the s-hooks folded under the ratchet is approximately 5-1/2 inches. This retractable ratchet has a working load limit (WLL) of 500 lbs.
If you will be working with a load greater than 500 lbs, I... view full answer...
Since the strap itself on the BoatBuckle Heavy Duty Tie-Down Straps # IMF14206 measures 2' in length from the end to the middle of the "S" hook you will have more than enough length for the 18" space you mentioned.
From where the strap rolls up on the ratchet to the middle of the "S" hook on the ratchet strap measures 1' so when it is all laid out you will have 3' (36") of strap. Be mindful though that some of the 2' strap will need to be ratcheted into the mechanism for it to be secure. view full answer...
