When we installed Curt hitch # 13581 on a 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander the hitch pin hole in the receiver was only 2-inches forward of the rear bumper so you will probably be better off with the short no-drill bracket # 18140. This will clamp onto your hitch tube with the included ring clamp.

The head will be approximately 3/4 inches wide so measuring from the center of the hitch pin that would be 3/8 of an inch.
