The long and short of installing the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-521453-5 on your 2020 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is that you'll need to remove the front bumper (disconnecting any electrical parts connected to the bumper) and then the base plate kit mounts directly to your frame. I spoke with my contact at Curt and he said when installing the Curt Class III 2-Inch Hitch, part # 13432, to your 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, the bolts can be installed either direction, as long as they are torqued correctly.

I consulted an online copy of the 2013 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Owner's Manual, and found that the information regarding flat towing procedures begins on page number 532.
The procedures outlined make no mention of what position the key needs to be in, but the ignition will need to be turned to the ACC position to unlock the steering wheel. Towing with the steering locked can damage the front tires and the steering system.

I have a solution for you, but because the stock spare tire carrier and the 3rd brake light on the Jeep JKU are all one piece, the Rampage Spare Tire Extender # RA86610 will not allow you to continue using the 3rd brake light. In order to continue using your existing 3rd brake light you would need to use a different spare tire carrier like the Bestop # B6196101 which accepts the factory 3rd brake light in the tower on the back of the carrier. For putting any bike rack on your back of your flat-towed vehicle, there are different restrictions that apply as if it was a motorhome or 5th-wheel trailer. Since there are different levels of torque involved with those options, the bike rack needs to be built accordingly to withstand the extra force. Yes, there was a design change with the nuts that were originally welded to the Hidden Hitch, part # 75515, to the current Draw-Tite, part # 76104. The nuts are no longer welded to the hitch itself but are still included. The newest version of this hitch it sht # DT78MR.

I can see how the 2 different air dam trimming methods can confuse things some. But basically you can do it either way. The way our installers have done it in the video, linked for reference, takes more of the air dam off each end but it is also quicker and easier and, in my opinion, looks a lot cleaner. That is correct. If your 2021 Wrangler Unlimited has the connector located under the dash to the left of the steering column near the top of the e-brake pedal as shown in the provided photo, you'd use the # 3073-P harness to connect the # 90195 Tekonsha P3 to the connector under the dash. You'd want to sever the blue wire exiting the rear of the controller and connect it to the blue output circuit you ran from the MOPAR 7-way you installed.

Depending on orientation of the sun you may want t have that option available. But as for making the connection to your rig, placement needs to be about 31-1/2 inches apart. Having the factory towing package on your 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited will actually make life a lot easier. You will need a couple parts to get the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite up and running, but it's easier than you think.
