You will need to remove the M14 frame bolts of your 2015 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk to install the part # 76021 that you referenced. The vehicles that have the towhooks will use the factory bolts for installation. Vehicles without tow hooks use the included hardware.
I attached a set of detailed installation instructions and a video for you to check out as well. view full answer...
We don't have video footage of this, but we'd be happy to describe the process.
According to Rhino-Rack the best way to do this is with the # RRVA126B-2 crossbars off the vehicle. I'd recommend proceeding with the installation as described in the linked instructions and video, get the crossbars situated on the rail so that the bar spread is where you want it and is even on both sides. Then, make a pencil mark on the rail as shown in the lower diagram
Once you get the spread correct,... view full answer...
You nailed it! Since you already have a 4-Way on your 2017 Jeep Renegade Latitude then you would just need the 4- to 7-Way adapter like you said, # 37185. The Prodigy RF # TK94FR needs the 12 volt circuit to be functional on the 7-Way but not the blue brake output wire or purple reverse light wire so you can cap those off as you said.
The 40 amp circuit breaker # 9510 is usually what we recommend on a 12 volt circuit so that will work too. For wire to go to the battery from the 7-Way you... view full answer...
The bumper should not need to be removed to install the Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch # 76021 on your 2015 Jeep Renegade. The trailer hitch should have come with 4 fish wires to help you feed the bolts and spacers into place. If your Renegade does not have a tow hook, you will need to drill an access hole to fish the bolt and spacers through. If you have a tow hook, it will not be necessary to drill an access hole.
I have attached a page from the installation instructions that illustrates... view full answer...
Yes, we have a new function on our website that is just under the product pictures and videos section on the left side. It is a blue link that says Locate Installers Near Me. I put in the Fort Myers zip code and found several installers we do recommend. The EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver item # EH83VR is a confirmed fit for you 2016 Jeep Renegade and I am sure you will have no problem finding someone willing to install it on your Jeep. I have linked an installation video in case... view full answer...
Yes, so in the instructions for Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 76021 for your 2015 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk step 2 mentions the factory tow hook. That is the same tow hook that you are describing (rear, driver's side). So on models that have that tow hook you would skip step 3 in the instructions.
If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It... view full answer...
The Draw-Tite Class III Hitch # 76021 that you referenced installs under your Renegade's bumper rather than through it. The linked photo shows the location and appearance of the receiver opening after installation and the linked video shows the entire installation process.
The written instructions, which are linked for your review, include photos and a listing of all the tools required to install either of these 2-inch hitches. These tools include a torque wrench such as # ALL944001. Two... view full answer...
According to page 430 of the online version of the owner's manual you can dolly tow your 2016 Jeep Renegade FWD with the manual transmission but you cannot flat tow it. We do carry tow dollies so we can still help you with transporting your Renegade.
Out of the available options I highly recommend the Demco Kar Kaddy SS # DM9713045 because it features hydraulic disc brakes, a wheeled jack for easily moving the dolly around, and folding ramps and a folding tongue for storage or in RV parks... view full answer...
The Curt hitch part # C13269 is a fit for your 2020 Jeep Renegade and doesn't require lowering the exhaust but does require you to enlarge access holes for the hardware. Enlarging the access holes isn't too bad and is a fairly common step for hitch installs. To see the entire install process check out the install video link I attached to this page as well. view full answer...
For Curt trailer hitch # C12142 the only drilling you may need to do will be to enlarge access holes that are already on the frame of your 2017 Jeep Renegade Sport. But you could also use a file or rotary toll to enlarge those holes if needed. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view.
If you plan on doing some towing the recommended ball mount is # C45521. For a 1-7/8 inch ball you can use # A-80. For a 2 inch ball use # A-82. And for trailer wiring you can... view full answer...
As you can see in the provided photo, the hitch sits far enough below the bumper that no trimming is required.
If you'll be using the hitch for towing a trailer, you'll need a few other parts. For a trailer wiring harness, use part # 118651. For a ballmount, use # D-28 and # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch trailer ball or # 63845 for a 2 inch.
I've linked to the install video showing the Curt # C13269 hitch being installed on a 2015 Renegade, and also to a video for the trailer wiring harness.... view full answer...
To install the Yakima HangOut, part # Y02637, on your 2016 Jeep Renegade you need to use the Glass Hatch Hook accessory in place of the upper strap hooks.
I've linked a video of when we installed the HangOut on a 2016 Renegade that I've linked for you.
I also verified with Yakima that the HangOut is a fit for your Renegade. view full answer...
I would be happy to help you. The bolts for the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2"
Item # EH83VR thread into weld nuts on the bottom side of the frame. I have attached an installation video below. If you skip ahead to the 9 minute mark you will see this step. Weld nuts are drilled and tapped into the frame of vehicles when they are manufactured so hitches and other accessories can be installed.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13269 which fits both the 2015 and 2016 models of the Jeep Renegade is a custom fit trailer hitch receiver which means that it is manufactured to fit pre-existing holes in your Jeep's frame.
The reason that the Trailhawk model doesn't need to have the holes enlarged is because the M14 bolts are already installed into weld nuts. You will want to make sure to follow the instructions for your model as that is how the manufacturer tested and approved it.... view full answer...
The Tekonsha trailer wiring harnesses such as # 118651 have been traditionally through-hole circuitry. With that said the Curt harness # C56274 uses the surface mount design. Both harnesses are designed to fit your 2015 Jeep Renegade. view full answer...
Most if not all trailer wiring harnesses/connectors use larger wires for the 12 volt and ground circuits compared to the other circuits (lights). The sockets themselves don't have an amperage rating so you will go by the draw of the things drawing power.
In order to figure out what the lights are drawing you could connect the trailer to the tow vehicle and turn on a function while testing the trailer side wiring behind the connector with a meter to see what sort of reading you get. Usually... view full answer...
Unless the guys at the shops can't drive a stick you won't have any problems getting the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver item # EH83VR installed on your 2017 Jeep Renegade. That hitch receiver is a confirmed fit for all models of the 2017 Renegade. I have taken a look at the instructions and read through all of the tech tips we have for every hitch we offer for the Renegade and there is nothing about a manual transmission causing install issues. I went ahead and linked both the instructions... view full answer...
The easiest way to add a 7 way connector to your 2018 Jeep Renegade that already has a 4 way trailer connector attached is going to be using the # ETBC7L . This allows you to minimize the wiring work required and keep your existing 4 way plug for future towing setups that may need it.
After plugging in the # ETBC7L into the 4- way on your vehicle you'll need to wire the remaining wires as follows:
White - ground
Blue - brake controller
Black - hot lead - 12 volt power supply
Yellow -... view full answer...
To utilize the wiring bracket on trailer hitch # 76021 for your 2017 Jeep Renegade you will need mounting bracket # 18144. The hardware is included to mount it. Then you can have the 4-Way mounted in the bracket.
The trailer wiring harnesses for the 2017 Jeep Renegade, # 118651 and # C56274, both plug in line with the tail light wiring on the vehicle. They will install the same way as in the 2016 model in the video I have linked. They will work with the above mentioned mounting bracket.
