My contact at SportRack tells me that they haven't come across any fit problems with the H3, but I'd recommend taking two measurements for confirmation.
There are two possible clearance problems you could encounter, if the shank on the rack is long enough to allow the rack to be fully inserted into the receiver so the hitch pin holes line up, and if the rack will swing to the right far enough so that the rear door can be fully opened.

The best way to determine what functions each of those wires on your 2008 Hummer H3 carries is to use a circuit tester like part # PTW2992 and check to see what each wire does.
