The Westin running boards and nerf bars for your 2014 GMC Sierra 2500 Crew Cab will be wheel to wheel and each model will be slightly different based on style according to my contact at Westin. He said the # 24-54205 for 6-1/2 foot bed will be about 108 inches long where # 21-534580 for an 8 foot bed will be about 124 inches to give you an example. view full answer...

I went out to our warehouse to take a look at the Lippert Bolt-On Shock Kit # LC281281 that you referenced and measured a length of right at 7-1/8 inches on the included U-bolts. The threads measure 2 inches in length. I have attached an image to assist.
This kit is designed to fit 3 inch diameter axles. view full answer...
If you're speaking of the # CAB-C5GX1216 Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th wheel to gooseneck adapter, it has a 20,000 lb towing capacity and a 4000 lb pin weight capacity.
If you're speaking of a 5th wheel trailer where the pin weight is known to be 1975 lbs, since the pin weight is generally 20% of the trailer weight that should put the trailer weight somewhere in the vicinity of 10,000 lbs give or take a few pounds. view full answer...
When installing the # 9465-56 Hide-A-Goose hitch in your 2016 GMC Sierra 2500HD short bed, a hole must be drilled in the bed of the truck. Mark and drill a 1/4” hole 44-7/8 inches from the rear of the bed forward centered between the two wheel wells.
A hole saw will be used to enlarge the hole to the proper size. I attached an install video that shows how this hitch would be installed in a similar 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500HD as yours. view full answer...
The Adapter Rails # C88KR (16027) will fit the OEM prep in your 2021 GMC Sierra 2500 and provide you with industry standard mounting points. As long as your Hijacker hitch uses industry standard rails, then it will work with the # C88KR adapter.
I have also included a diagram that shows the spacing of the slots in the Adapter Rails # C88KR. view full answer...
Yes, we do have mounting brackets for the Westin HDX Grille Guard with Punch Plate item # 57-3795 or item # 57-3790. To mount this grille guard to your 2017 GMC Sierra 2500 you will want the Replacement Mounting Kit for Westin HDX Grille Guard item # 57-379PK.
This replacement hardware kit will only work with those two grille guards. They won't work on anything else. view full answer...
It is correct that to use your Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with R16 Slider # C16521 in your 2020 GMC Sierra 2500 with the 5th wheel prep package you will need the Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch # C88KR.
This will add approximately 2 inches of height to your set up, so for the A16 hitch the height ranges are between 19-1/2 inches and 23-1/2 inches.
Adapter # C16023 will not work for your 2020 GMC Sierra 2500 as it is for previous model years with different puck spacing. I... view full answer...

The Grand Design Solitude 310GK has a 15,000 lbs GVWR with a pin weight of 2,350 lbs. Based on what I can find online from GMC website the truck if it is 2WD should be able to tow a 5th wheel trailer up to 15,400 lbs or if you have the 4x4 would be 13,500 lbs towing. It sounds like you would have too much trailer for your truck.
I would most definitely trust the sticker on your truck over the dealer trying to sell you something. The pin weight should not exceed your payload.

The Mighty Cord 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Wiring Harness # A10-7010 requires 3-1/2" of clearance behind the mounting flange of the 7-way connector. This measurement includes the wiring connector for the 7-way connection. This will be your best solution as the other harness have similar connections and the magnetic EZ connectors require more clearance as the wiring does not 90 degree from the back of the connector like the Mighty Cord. view full answer...
The Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th wheel hitches that fit the underbed rails and above-bed rails are exactly the same but for the side plates they come with. The side plates are what attach the Hijacker to its respective rails, and apart from that there is absolutely no difference whatsoever between the two hitches. So, depending on what style you want, you can choose from one of the following options:
- Underbed: Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Slider # DM8550022

If I did the math right the combined weight of the trailer and the vehicle is 5,300 pounds. At the 24 inch length the Hitch Box Extension and Reducer for Titan 2-1/2" Trailer Hitches, 24" - 34" Long Item # RP45292 is rated for 6,000 pounds gross trailer weight (8,000 when using weight distribution) so it can handle the weight of the transporter with the 3,800 pound vehicle loaded! I have included a link to a video review of this extension for you. view full answer...
Thanks for the picture! Those holes are not from an OEM puck system because the cab to tailgate dimensions are too short. It looks like the previous owner used the Underbed Rail and Installation Kit for Demco UMS 5th Wheel Hitches item # DM8551010. This system worked similar to an OEM puck system but only with Demco hitches. I have linked a dimensional drawing below for you to compare to what is currently on your truck. I have also attached an installation video.

The center of a fifth wheel hitch jaw needs to be either directly above the axle center or slightly forward. So either kit still works fine. Having the jaw center slightly forward of the axle helps distribute a small portion of the trailer weight to the front axle as well, but you have to be careful not to go too far forward as that reduces clearance between the cab of the truck and the nose of the trailer. So that's why typically right over the rear axle is used. You don't want to load... view full answer...
I can help you find how much clearance you will have between the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # BWRVK3770 and the front of your bed on your 2017 GMC Sierra 2500HD Short Bed, but that is a measurement B&W did not have when I contacted them.
You will want to measure from the front of the bed to the front puck and subtract 5" since the B&W # BWRVK3770 will stick past your front pucks by roughly 5" per B&W. This will tell you how much room you... view full answer...

You definitely want to make sure that your hitch (5th wheel and/or bumper pull) is rated for more than the GVWR of your trailer. If you had a bumper pull that was rated a few hundred pounds over the GVWR of your trailer then I would say that you are good but since 5th wheel towing is with heavier trailers I recommend using a 5th wheel hitch that is rated for at least 1,000 lbs more than your GVWR. Yes technically the 16K can handle the weight of your 15,682 lb GVWR but it will put a lot... view full answer...
The Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider # DM79GV weighs approximately 300lbs. The hitch head (60lbs) does come apart though to make removing/installing your hitch a bit easier. If that's not a weight you'd like to move around a lot and you don't have a tonneau cover then I recommend using a hitch head cover # DM14844 to protect your hitch and keep it in great condition. view full answer...
