Determining Distance Between B&W Companion and Front Of Bed On 2017 GMC Sierra 2500HD Short Bed

What is the measurement fro the hitch base to the front of the box? Do I have room for a toolbox?

I can help you find how much clearance you will have between the B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # BWRVK3770 and the front of your bed on your 2017 GMC Sierra 2500HD Short Bed, but that is a measurement B&W did not have when I contacted them.

You will want to measure from the front of the bed to the front puck and subtract 5" since the B&W # BWRVK3770 will stick past your front pucks by roughly 5" per B&W. This will tell you how much room you have available for a tool box.
