There aren't any lunette rings that have a bolt pattern which measures 5" horizontally by 8" vertically so the best we can offer is a new lunette ring and mounting plate you would have to weld on. You can choose from either a 2-1/2" or 3" lunette ring, depending on what you need.

The B&W Pintle Hook Mounting Plate part # BWPMHD14005 that you referenced will slide into a 2" receiver tube opening on the tow vehicle. This will then accept a pintle hook so that you can tow a trailer with a lunette ring, not the other way around. Unfortunately, we do not have a lunette ring for this mounting plate as again it is designed to be used with a pintle hook, not a lunette ring. If for some odd reason your trailer has a pintle hook and not a lunette ring then we would not have... view full answer...
I have just what you are looking for. The Curt Lunette Ring - Flat Plate Mount - 3" Diameter - 60,000 lbs # C48560. This lunette ring has a mounting plate 6-1/4 inches by 6-1/4 inches and bolt hole spacing 4-1/2 inches apart. view full answer...
The Curt Lunette Ring - Bolt On - 3" Diameter - 22,000 lbs # C48510 is rated for 22,000 lbs weight capacity. It is not rated to stand up to 30,000 lbs so it could fail.
To handle that capacity without deformation or issue, I recommend the Curt Lunette Ring - Stud Mount - 3" Diameter - 45,000 lbs # C48530 or the Curt Lunette Ring - Flat Plate Mount - 3" Diameter - 60,000 lbs # C48560. view full answer...
The adjustable lunette ring with channel # 63036 is rated for 24,000 pounds so provided that the gross trailer weight is under that you can use it on your trailer.
The channel will need to be welded to a flat surface by a professional welder. I have linked a video review of this lunette ring and channel for you. view full answer...
The smallest size lunette ring you could use with a 2-5/16" pintle hook and ball combo like the Curt Pintle Hook with 2-5/16" Hitch Ball part # C45922 is 2-1/2" like the Curt Lunette Ring part # C48550. view full answer...
The Buyer's Products Adjustable Lunette Ring, part # 337B18135, is designed to be a weld-on application, so you can certainly weld it onto your trailer.
In order to retain the 12,000 lb capacity, I would recommend having a professional who has experience welding trailer-type applications do the job for you. view full answer...
The lunette ring style of Blue Ox tow bars like the part # BX7460P are only available in the 2-1/2 inch size but we do have a Roadmaster tow bar that has a 3 inch ring with the part # RM-583. view full answer...
For the Buyers Products Zinc Plated 10-Ton Forged Steel Lunette Ring w/ 3" I.D. # 337B16140Z you are correct that the 5/8 inch bolts are traditionally used for the C-channel. This is partially because the bolts are normally 5-1/2 inches long. The standard pins are simply not long enough in most cases and the lunette ring is not tested for use with these pins so you'd most likely be outside of the manufacturer's warranty.
The usable pin length of the Curt 3 inch receiver hitch pin # C21507... view full answer...
The Buyers Products 50 Ton Air Compensated Pintle Hook with Chamber and Plunger # 337PH50AC you were looking at will work perfectly with the solid lunette ring on your trailer so there is no reason to get a swivel lunette ring.
I included a video review of the # 337PH50AC for you to take a look at. view full answer...
I went out to our warehouse to take a look at the Curt Lunette Ring # C48510 and found that the mounting holes do have a 5/8 inch diameter as stated in the video.
This is a heavy-duty forged steel lunette ring that features a 22,000 pound weight capacity and a 20 inch overall length. view full answer...
As you mentioned in your question, both the Bulldog Lunette Ring # BD1291010383 and the Zinc Model # BD1291020340 feature a towing capacity of 14,000 pounds. As long as the loaded weight of your USGI trailer does not exceed this number (which it certainly does not appear that it will), this lunette ring will work great. Based on the specs for the M101A2 trailer, this should give you plenty of safety margin as well.
I have attached a couple short video demonstrations on these products... view full answer...
I have another option for you, but at this time Dexter does not make a surge brake actuator like the Dexter DX7.5 Drop-N-Go Brake Actuator - Drum Brakes - 2" Ball - Zinc Plated - 7,500 lbs # 099-175-00 you were looking at with a lunette ring for a pintle hook hitch.
Instead I recommend the Titan Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator - Drum - Lunette Ring - Bolt On - 8,000 lbs # T4093200 which has a slightly higher trailer rating at 8000lbs, is designed for drum brakes, and includes a lunette ring... view full answer...
I reached out to my contact at B&W and the B&W Tow & Stow Pintle Hook with 2" Ball - 2" Hitches - 10,000 lbs/16,000 lbs # BWTS10055 will work perfectly with a 3" lunette ring.
The # BWTS10056 you mentioned will also work with a 3" lunette ring, but has a 2-5/16" hitch ball instead of a 2" hitch ball.
Both hitches has a 10000lb towing capacity with the hitch ball, and a 16000lb towing capacity when using the pintle hook portion.
I included videos for both of the products for you to take... view full answer...

We do have a lock for a lunette ring, but lock # 379DAT will not work. You will want to use the Blaylock EZ Lock, # BLTL-60. The 2 cylinders fit inside the ring and then a pin is placed through them and padlocked on one side so no one can hitch up the trailer without first removing the lock. view full answer...
Yes we offer Lunette rings that are not attached to surge actuators like the part # C48640 which would weld to the front of your trailer with the included mounting bracket. view full answer...
