No, there are not. The aftermarket hitches, like the etrailer item # e55KR, all mount below the original location of the factory hitch on your 2005 Ford Explorer XLT. I have attached a picture below to show you what it will look like once installed.

There are a couple of options to add a 7-way connector to your 2012 Ford Explorer that won't require you to run wires. If you have the factory tow package you can use the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C55774. If you don't have the factory tow package you will need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C56278.

The link thickness for tire chains # TC2524 is what you would want to look at. Basically the chains will be sticking out from the tire sidewall by approximately 1/4 inch which is a little more than the link thickness. But I suggest planning on measuring out 1/2 inch just to be on the safe side. Trailer hitches have their own rating as you have stated and that is the rating for the hitch only. Whichever capacity is lower, the hitch or the vehicle, is the capacity you need to go by. In this case if your 2013 Ford Explorer is rated for 2,000 pounds gross trailer weight that is what you are limited to even though hitch # C13386 is rated for more.

I can't speak to whether or not this is going to fit in your garage or not without knowing at what height they're installed but I can tell you that the Malone TopTier Load Bar Kit for Utility Trailers - 250 lbs # MPG493 are 54" tall. Because this means you're adding 5-1/2 feet to the height of the trailer just with the TopTier, and the J-Pro 2 # MPG117MD adding 16-1/2" I really think this would be a tight squeeze to fit into a standard garage but you'll want to take some measurements to be sure. view full answer...

While there are roof racks out there with higher weight ratings, since the roof on your 2019 Ford Explorer Sport is only 45 lbs that will be the limiting factor. So even with something like the Thule WingBar Evo roof rack, parts # TH711420, # TH460R, and # THKIT3151, which has a 165 lb weight rating, you'll actually only be able to carry about 35 lbs of cargo since the roof rack parts will actually take away from the overall weight capacity.

The overall length of the Thule Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, part # TH859XT, is 49 inches long. The extender, part # TH8591XT, adds 20 inches. This would bring the overall length of the rack to just 69 inches. I would take a tape measure length of the roof on your Explorer. You would then be able to see how the rack would fit on your roof. I went out to the warehouse to take a look at the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch License Plate Relocation Bracket # 5443 referenced in your question. I measured a distance of 1-1/2 inches from the inside of one fork to the inside of the other. From outside to outside it is just under 2 inches.
