If your 2006 Dodge Durango came with the 7 way plug from the factory, the plug for the brake controller adapter should be up along the kick plate near the emergency brake. If your Durango did not come from the factory with a 7 way plug, that port is not going to be present and you wouldn't be able to use the # 3020-P to install a brake controller.

It sounds like you just simply overfilled the Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors like part # BB1980A but not to worry, they do this by design so you didn't damage anything. The built-in pressure relief valve will allow grease to seep out the piston to avoid damaging the grease seal. I'd wipe away the extra grease and then just proceed as normal, there may be still some more that seeps out. It has a T-One connector that is connected to the back of your vehicles tail lights, so the tail lights do have to be removed.
