Yes, you can use the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR and it will do a good job for you. You're likely going to need bike frame adapter bars for the kids' bikes and for any other bikes that have aggressive step through frames; for those you can use the # 64005.

If one brake magnet goes out the other 3 on your trailer will still be working, you will just not have the one braking assembly working and it will need to be replaced.
As long as the pads on the assembly are in good shape you can just replace the magnet using the Replacement Trailer Brake Magnet for 12" Brake Assemblies # BP01-180 if you have 12" brakes, or # AKBRKR-M10 if you have 10" 3500lb brakes.

I do have some other options for you as Reese does not offer any replacement spring bars for the larger 12,000LB # RP66560 or 14,000LB Steadi-Flex weight distribution hitches. They only offer the Spring Bar # RP58501 for the 400-600lb tongue weights which is not compatible with the larger hitch heads.
