When you use a hitch extension in a 2 inch or 1-1/4 inch receiver it will reduce the tongue weight capacity of the hitch by 50 percent. But if you have a 2-1/2 inch receiver the tongue weight capacity is not reduced but usually the capacity of he extension is lower than the hitch so you would go by the lower rating.
If you have a 2-1/2 inch receiver opening you can use the Titan extender # RP45292 at the 24 inch length. That will give you a capacity of 6,000 pounds; 8,000 when using weight... view full answer...
The correct fit Westin Sportsman Grille Guard for a 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 new body style is # 45-2270. I have included a link to the installation instructions and to all of the grille guard options for your truck. view full answer...
Based on my research, the PullRite SuperGlide part number 2700 fits industry standard (I.S.) above-bed base rails. The I.S. base rails I recommend for your 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD with 6-1/2 foot bed are the Reese Quick Install Custom Base Rails and Outboard Installation Kit # RP56007-53. This outboard kit moves the isntallation hardware for the base rails to the outside of the vehicle frame. This allows for easier assess to the hardware and helps cut down on installation time.... view full answer...
What tonneau cover do you have installed on your truck? I'd need to know the cover you have as well as the length of your truck bed to know for sure. view full answer...
Starting with the brakes if the pads on the shoes are cracked or if the wear indicators are showing then they should be replaced. If there are no wear indicators and you notice weak braking with the brakes adjusted out then they would need to be replaced.
For magnets if you can see the copper windings coming through the magnets will need to be replaced.
For the drums look for any discoloration, scoring, cuts, scrapes, gashes, and things like that. If present then the drums should be replaced.... view full answer...
I am sure there is a way to install an OEM integrated brake controller on your 2007 Chevy Silverado. But I would strongly recommend you go with an aftermarket brake controller because they end up costing less and perform much better.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
To install this controller you will just need to wire it to the bundle... view full answer...
Is the pin on your 7-way dirty or corroded? That's usually what causes intermittent brake output signal on a vehicle 7-way.
You can also try probing the brake output circuit with a # PTW2993 to see if the voltage is on the wire but just not making it back to the pins of the connector on the 7-way. view full answer...
It's hard to say if the # 6562 will work with your factory Chevy brake controller. The only ones we can say for certain will work with this tester are the Tekonsha brake controllers and the integrated Ford controllers. view full answer...
The replacement tarp you need is the part # EX37650 for your 2007 Chevy Silverado new body style with a 6-1/2 foot bed since the cover you have was part # EX38650. view full answer...
Since the Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler # D15902 is both a transmission and oil cooler it would need to take the place of the cooler that you have. However this will likely provide less transmission fluid cooling than your existing external cooler. What I recommend for your 2007 Silverado (New Body) with 6.0 liter motor is to just add a small oil cooler only so that you will get the maximum benefit of both coolers.
I recommend Derale Tube-Fin Engine Oil Cooler Kit... view full answer...
Since the owners manual of your 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with Duramax/Allison say you have the towing capacities of 13,200 lbs then you would be safe to tow a trailer that weighs 10,300 lbs. As long as you don't load the trailer with more than 2,900 lbs you would be fine.
For an air bag kit the Firestone Ride Rite part # F2250 has been confirmed as a fit for your truck and even has fit info for it that states that it is fine to use with fifth wheel hitch rail kits.
For a fifth wheel... view full answer...
For your 2007 Chevy Silverado HD the most popular gooseneck hitch we offer is the B and W Turnover ball part # BWGNRK1067 which has been confirmed as a fit. When not in use the ball of this hitch can be flipped around for total truck bed access.
B and W makes very high quality hitches and what is really nice about this kit is that if you ever needed to tow a fifth wheel trailer you could easily install the Companion hitch part # BWRVK3500 right into the gooseneck ball socket.

The Curt weight distribution shanks like the part # 17120 will fit the same systems that a Reese shank would, so the # 17120 would be compatible. It would provide drop of 5-3/4 inches when used with a trunnion setup like your Straitline. If that is enough drop this would work well. If you need more drop you could use the # C17123 which can do up to 8-1/4 inches. view full answer...
Yes. The RBW Lil Rocker 5th wheel hitch fits in industry standard above the bed rails.
I recommend the rails included with Reese installation mounting kit # RP50064-58, this will work great for your 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 6-1/2ft bed truck. The rails and mounting kit you were looking at # RP30035 will also fit but requires drilling where the one I've recommended does not.
I have linked both parts to this page for your convenience. view full answer...
The most popular transmission cooler we offer that would work great for you would be the Derale cooler part # D13503. You will also need the fitting part # D13035 to allow the cooler to install without having to cut or flare any lines.

I would be happy to help!
On your 2007 Chevrolet Silverado New Body Style there will be four wires underneath the dash that the controller will get connected to, as that year truck did not include a factory trailer brake controller port.
The four wires will be red, dark blue, light blue or orange, and white and will get connected to the trailer brake controller wiring harness as follows:
Red factory wire will get connected to black wire of trailer brake controller harness

I called my contact at Firestone and asked about your 2007 Silverado with the lift kit. They said that the best way to find out which spacer kit you need is to get the Air Springs and after mocking up the upper and lower brackets you can measure to make sure you get the correct spacers for your truck. Although you said you have a 6 inch lift, my contact said there was probably some degree of lift on the vehicle already and getting spacers for a 6 inch lift kit would not be a sure fit. Since your hitch and coupler height are the same, I recommend using a ball mount with a straight shank, like the Curt # C62KR. This ball mount features a 1-7/8 inch, 2 inch, and 2-5/16 inch balls. The straight shank on this ball mount will allow you to tow your utility trailer level.
If you don't like the idea of a multi-ball mount, you can use a ball mount with a 2 inch drop, like the Convert-A-Ball Ball Mount 3/4 inch Rise or 2 Inch Drop # AMSC2, with a hitch ball that has a rise, like... view full answer...
There's a large enough difference between a 2002 Ford F-250 and a 2007 New Body Chevy Silverado 2500HD that there wouldn't be a way to install a gooseneck hitch from one truck on to the other.
You'd need a new hitch for the Chevy like the great priced Curt # C60712 which is a confirmed fit. This is very easy to use and also to install. I attached an install video for more info on it as well. view full answer...
