  • Why Would a 2004 Cadillac Deville Need a Trailer Wiring Harness With a Trailer Hitch
  • The need for a trailer wiring harness like the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, # C59236, depends on how you plan to use the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, # 36287. If you are planning to tow a small trailer, then you will need to install the Curt trailer wiring kit to allow the lights on the trailer to be connected to the your Deville. The kit will wire into your existing vehicle wiring and will provide a 4 pole plug to connect to the trailer's electrical...

  • What Hitch do You Recommend for My 1962 Cadillac DeVille Convertable?
  • I have a creative solution for you. Unfortunately, we do not carry a customized-fit option for a hitch on your 1962 Cadillac DeVille convertable. The only option we have is to use a universal hitch like the Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch Receiver - 18"-51" Wide # C13701. The Curt universal hitch comes with adjustable brackets that will fit frames between 18-51 inches wide. In order to make sure that your frame falls within these dimensions, I recommend that you measure your frame (from side...

  • Towing Compatibility of 1969 Cadillac DeVille
  • The large motors in those old Cadillacs (in your case the 7.7L V8) will allow you to tow a trailer that is 2,500 lbs. If your vehicle brakes are in good working order you will be able to stop a fully loaded trailer that size as well. Anything larger, and I'd definitely recommend using a brake controller like # 90195 and that would be the best route if your travel trailer has brakes anyway. If that is the case let me know and I'll help you get the wiring you need as this is the safest...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2004 Cadillac DeVille
  • For your 2004 Cadillac DeVille, I recommend the Draw-Tite Class II Frame Receiver Hitch # 36287. This Class II trailer hitch is custom-designed and confirmed to fit your vehicle. It has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening and a 3,500 pound towing capacity, although you will also want to check the capacity for the vehicle itself as listed in the owner's manual. I recommend this hitch over the Curt alternative also confirmed to fit your vehicle because unlike Curt, Draw-Tite does not require the...

  • Using H4 Headlight Bulbs with 3 Prongs on 1964 Cadillac with 2 Prong Receptacle
  • My dad used to have a 1967 Cadillac Sedan DeVille. I have been inside and out of the car helping him work on it. I think your best option is to use wiring harness # P239003HD. It has a 3-prong receptacle and the wiring for the bulb. Better yet you could use # P230004HW which includes the heavier wire and receptacles along with relays to protect the old wiring on your Caddy.

  • Hitch Placement of Draw-Tite Hitch part # 36287 on a 2001 Cadillac DeVille
  • We have not installed one of these on a 2000-2005 DeVille. I have included a link to the instructions that shows where the hitch is in relation to the rear bumper. See the top left corner. The picture shows the drawbar in the hitch, but the drawbar can be removed when not in use. You will not be able to see much of the hitch unless you kneel down level with the car.

  • Trailer Hitch for 1998 Cadillac DeVille to Allow Towing Small Utility Trailer
  • We do offer one trailer hitch receiver for your 1998 Cadillac DeVille, part # 36267 from Draw-Tite. This is a 1-1/4-inch Class II hitch with 300-lb tongue weight and 3500-lb towing capacities. You will want to check your DeVille's owner's manual or speak to a local Cadillac dealership to confirm that the vehicle is rated to tow a trailer. • Brake Controller Installation on 2000 Cadillac DeVille
  • You can indeed install a brake controller on a 2000 Cadillac DeVille. As a first step, you'll need to access the taillight wiring circuits. The best and safest way to do this would be to use a powered taillight converter like # C59496. You could directly wire into the taillight circuits using a wiring kit like # 18252, but you'd lose the circuit protection offered by the taillight converter. The converter would protect the electronics in your vehicle from any short circuits that might...

  • Recommended Replacement Trailer Tires for Tent Trailer to Replace 155R12 Tires
  • We do offer both bias ply and radial ST-type trailer tires in a 12-inch wheel size although a ST155R12 is not among them. In a radial type we have size ST145/80-12 tires in Load Range D or E, which are rated for 1,220-lbs at 65-psi and 1,520-lbs at 80-psi, respectively. These are only 10mm narrower than your current tires and would work fine on 4-inch wide rims. You can see both items on the linked page, parts # AM10130 and # AM10140. It is a good idea to have more weight carrying capacity...

  • Minimum Accessory Shank Length for a Hitch on a 2002 Cadillac De Ville
  • When we installed the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver, Class II # 36287 on a similar Cadillac DeVille to your 2002 model, we found that the center of the hitch pin hole sits 5 inches behind the rear bumper. If this hitch sits in the same place on your 2002 DeVille, you will need at least 5-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the hitch accessory to clear the bumper, and give yourself a bit of wiggle room. If you're looking to carry bikes on your DeVille,...

  • Recommended Ball Mount Compatible With 1998 Cadillac DeVille
  • Based on the confirmed fit trailer hitch receivers we have for your 1998 Cadillac DeVille, I assume you have a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. With this ball mount you can use # 19258 for a 2 inch hitch ball or # 19257 for a 1-7/8 inch ball.

  • Which Way Does Wheel Rim Clamp # 15-2 Go on Rear Wheel of Mobile Home
  • The Wheel Rim Clamp # 15-2 that you referenced will install with the lip towards the inside of the hub on the other side of the nut that holds it in place. The angled portion of the clamp sits outside of the wheel and it will tighten up against it as you turn the nut. We don't have any pictures available of this particular clamp installed and it's a little hard to describe it but if you search for some images online of a wheel rim clamp installed you might get a clearer picture as to...

  • I have attached the installation instructions for the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 36267. The installation requires no drilling and is really a pretty easy install. You just need to lower the exhaust and use the existing holes ion the frame on your Cadillac. Then raise the exhaust back into place and that's it. To clean out the existing holes and weldnuts on your vehicle you can use part # 814092.
