When folded, the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the carrier is edge is 7-1/2 inches for the 20x48 Reese Cargo Carrier # 6502. view full answer...
The distance between the Inno roof rack crossbars on center is 660 mm/26 inches which is pretty close to what you need so the part numbers # INXB130-2, # INXS250, and # INK403 could maybe work, but it depends on how exact you need it to be to 27.5 inches. view full answer...
Draw-Tite Class III hitch # 75600 carries the same 600-lb tongue weight (TW) and 6000-lb gross trailer weight (GTW) ratings whether or not it is used with a weight distribution hitch. Curt hitch # 13077, another of the Class III hitches offered for your 2007 BMW X5, is not suitable for use with weight distribution systems. These hitches are designed for use with 2-inch Class III accessories.
If you intend to tow within the vehicle's rated capacity you will need a wiring harness # 119250KIT... view full answer...
When somebody asks about the dimensions of a hitch, it usually means they're wanting to install the hitch on a vehicle that hasn't been fit tested. I've heard reports that there's info from online forums where it's said that this particular hitch will fit many different BMW models.
Curt has not tested the fit of their # C11367 on vehicles other than the 2014 BMW 328D Sedan, the 2012-2015 328i Sedan or the 2013 BMW 328i xDrive Sedan. Curt can't confirm or deny (or warranty) fit on any other... view full answer...
The E-Track Wood Beam Socket # 59149 that you referenced doesn't have a capacity listed for it because the wood installed in it would break long before it would. Using it with angle iron instead of wood like it was intended for would make it really hard to give a stated capacity. view full answer...
With the Stealth hitches like the # SH25VR that fits your 2022 BMW X5 that comes with the ball mount there aren't any other options for ball mounts that would have different rises or drops. There is only the one setup that can be used and when we installed it we found that from the ground to the top of the hitch ball measures 19 inches which is a very common height that works really well for most trailers. If you measured from the ground to the bottom lip of the trailer coupler when level... view full answer...
The Air Lift AirLift 1000 Air Helper Springs # AL60744 have an outside diameter of 5.38" and a length of 7.5" when un-inflated and ready for installation. They are designed for coil springs with an inner diameter of around 5.5".
I'm not able to track down the inner diameter of the factory coils on your 2001 BMW e39 to confirm a fit, but if you are able to take this measurement (along with its internal height at normal ride height) I will be happy to determine the right air spring kit... view full answer...
The Curt # C11367 is a Class I hitch, as are all the hitches that fit a 2013 BMW 3 Series, and the maximum capacity for a Class I hitch is two bikes so your Pro Series PS63138 cannot be used as a 4-bike rack with this hitch.
There are trunk-mounted racks that fit your '13 BMW 3 Series sedan which will allow you to fit a maximum of three bikes. I recommend checking out the Yakima FullBack # Y02634, which only uses four straps to attach to your BMW, rather than the far more common six straps.... view full answer...
It sounds like you are using a ball mount with a rise and you are wanting to make sure it will work with the Malone 2" Dual Purpose Hitch Receiver part # MPG544 while you have a bike rack in the upper receiver tube portion. The picture of your ball mount did not come though but in order to see if the above is possible we would need to know how much rise you have on your ball mount. If the rise of the ball mount plus the height of the hitch ball does not exceed 5" which is the distance between... view full answer...
With an evenly distributed load, the Thule Roof Mounted Storage Lift, # TH572, has a maximum weight capacity of 100kg or approximately 220 lbs. view full answer...
The Pollak Metal 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector part # PK12702 is 2-3/4" long from the face to the rubber boot on the back. This is currently the shortest trailer connector we offer so if you still do not have enough room you might want to consider moving the frame bracket for the weight distribution system just a bit. The frame brackets usually have a range that they can be installed in rather than a set point anyhow. view full answer...
The short answer is yes, it does; according to my research your 2021 BMW X5 can have a towing capacity of a maximum of 7,200 lbs depending on the model and how it is equipped, which is below the 8,000 lb capacity of the Stealth hitch that fits your '21 X5, which is the following part
- Stealth Hitches Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver with Towing Kit # SH25VR
Keep in mind you do need to go by the lowest-rated capacity, which in this case is your BMW; so even though the Stealth is rated for... view full answer...
With the strap in place on the cradles on the 2 outside holes, the distance from the bottom of the cradle to the strap is approximately 3-1/4 inches. The width of the cradle at the widest point is approximately 1-3/4 inches.
The distance from the cradle to the strap is a little misleading because if a frame was slightly larger, it could still fit because the straps are rubber and they will stretch. I have included some informational links on this bike rack for you to view.

The Curt hitch part # C13900 that you referenced is designed to fit frame widths that range from 31 to 41 inches in width based on the holes you use. Check out the picture I attached to see how the holes match up with frame widths as well. view full answer...
When we installed the Curt Class I hitch # C11367 on a 2014 BMW 4-Series coupe we found that the height of receiver opening was 11-inches above ground level. This is shown in both the linked photo and installation video. Since there are two stock tires sizes offered on the car, P225/50-17 and P255/40-18, the actual height of your vehicle could differ from the one in the video.

The Autowbrake brake controller part # 3430001 that you referenced draws up to 15 amps. It's only going to draw amperage when the controller is activating the trailer brake so it would not be something you'd need to install an on/off switch on to prevent battery drain. view full answer...
