Is it possible you didn't install the blue fuse that comes with the Tekonsha trailer wiring kit part # 118800 into the fuse holder that's on the power wire of the kit? Without this fuse installed no power would make it to the module. Worst case scenario if your vehicle does not have this circuit active you could route a wire from the vehicle's positive battery post to this wire and you'd have the harness active. view full answer...

First make sure that both the in line fuse (red) and the mini fuse (blue) are both installed. Otherwise the harness will not work. I know that the instructions say to install the fuse for the Honda Crosstour but it is also possible that it is needed on your RDX. Check the fuse location and determine if the fuse is missing or needs to be replaced.
