Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at this Buyers Products left-hand spring latch. This spring latch is going to be great for securing trailer tailgates, ramps, and other doors. And to use this, you're just going to simply pull the spring loaded latch until it clears your keeper to open and then release it inside the keeper to close. The holdback right here is going, the holdback on the pin rather right here is going to let you secure the latch in the open position as you see here.
And then you're just simply gonna give it a twist and then close it. So, very smooth operation. The spring has good tension to it and feels like it's going to operate very smoothly. Now, this cone style pin is going to allow the latch to secure even when not perfectly aligned with your keeper. And the angled edges of that cone function as guides to help ease that pin into the keeper.
Now, this does have a four-hole mounting plate for secure bolt-on installation. I do wanna point out that hardware is not included. You're simply going to get this left-hand spring latch. So, if you don't have the compatible hardware, you would have to pick that up separately. This features a zinc plated steel construction so this is going to be durable and corrosion resistant.
Let me pull out my ruler here real quick and just give you some overall dimensions. Looking at that bracket first, looks like we are sitting pretty close to about, line that up here a little better for you. Three inches on that bracket, three inches long. And looking at the width, we are sitting right at about an inch and 3/4. And the overall depth, we are sitting pretty close to about an inch and a half deep.
Now this is, as I mentioned, a four-hole mounting plate and just giving you some measurements of these holes. Going horizontally first, center to center, we are sitting right at 1 5/8 inches, center to center. And going vertically, again, center to center, we are sitting pretty close to about an inch and an eighth. And then the mounting hole diameter is a quarter of an inch. And the pin diameter is a half an inch. And the overall length, we are sitting pretty close to right about 6 1/2 inches. And then the extension, the part here that is going to, how far the pin is going to extend from the body, looks like we are sitting right at about an inch and a quarter. And then that handle length, let me turn it upside down here, looks like we are sitting right at about 2 1/4 inches. So, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
